Ping to your statement .
ATT 911 down throughout the nation.
Bump
What does an AT&T customer get if they call 9-11? A recording? This number you have dialed..? Dead air?
How nice. I’m trying to imagine paying taxes all your life, and aunt bitty watches uncle joe fall over with a life threatening medial issue. And she gets a busy tone.
Nobody wants to call 911, until they have to.
In an emergency, dial:
1911
I remember when 911 went out of service for a very large community. Chicago suburbs I think. This was before cell phones. They placed firetrucks and ambulances on street corners throughout the city so people could reach emergency services for help. This went on for weeks.
Always load weapon before dialing 911.
Thanks, WildHighlander.
“Time for American to take personal responsibility.
911 is just the key into a police state.”
The only constitutional non-military gubmint agency is the post office, despite it being useless itself. But I don’t think 911 is going anywhere, unfortunately. People expext protection by the nanny state.
CIA practicing?
Oh wait.
They are probably making it seem it is from Russia
It’s Ted Kennedy’s fault.

Aunt Batty shouldn’t have put all her security in that mobile blanket, so to speak. What if her phone battery had died? Always prepare and have a backup. May be aask the neighbor for help. He might have Verizon.
Have you thought about those who use 911 for medical emergencies?
AT&T back in the day used to be reliable and took a huge pride in it's work company wide. Judge Greene changed all that. The split did no one real favors except for AT&T. The Bells were split off which short term went unnoticed. AT&T which at the split mainly handled long distance switching laid off most of it's work force and retire or be fired to the senior employees. My dad wisely chose Bell and left the long distance switching office he had worked in for years and went back outside.
Over the years AT&T bought back most of it's former Bell System companies and again cut work forces to a bare minimum.
Ma Bell used to be a real do it right or else company and no sloppy work allowed. Today buried cable pedestals stand open with wires exposed. Instead of a local test board and dispatch which worked with the tech and took reports you now get robo-routed customer service. If you report your line has trouble there ids a real good chance it will take two or three calls before they actually dispatch on it. They reply an automated trouble shooting system which misses a majority of line issues.
About three weeks ago my land line was out and I was waiting on a PROMISED technician face to face contact. That was after they had not cleared the issue a day before as promised. My home phone finally went dead but I heard it ring once and tried to answer it and it would not allow me to answer. It was my Mom calling me from her cell phone trying to reach me because she was in a medical crisis. 30 minutes later EMT's contacted me on my cell phone using hers to tell me she was enroute to the ER with a Stroke.
AT&T has gone from once being the best to the pits. Judge Greene did AT&T about as much long term damage as the courts did to JD Rockefeller splitting Standard Oil which made many more fortunes for him by that split.
I'll say yes though AT&T needed a definite loosing of it's arcane policies like it extension phone and modem policies etc but the split destroyed what was once a well oiled and highly functional communications company.
I was thinking more less about rural folks or those in situations who can’t simply run next door. Anyway...I’m set. HF/VHF/UHF etc off the grid, talk or listen planet wide.
If Trump approves the AT&T merger with CNN, will the 911 service be immediately restored?
The service has been restored and was out for an hour. What a soft society we have become.
WTH!
Chuckie cheeses better close for the night
