Late on Tuesday’s edition of MSNBC’s Hardball, panelist and Brookings Institution fellow Susan Hennessey offered a jaw-dropping assessment that “the single biggest national security threat is climate change” as it’s been the reason behind many of the recent global tensions.
Host Chris Matthews asked his panel of national security experts to tell him something they didn’t know about what keeps them up at night and when he arrived Hennessey, she uncorked an answer that would surly make Bernie Sanders proud.
“Look, for all the Trump administration's sort of focus on refugees, the single biggest national security threat is climate change. We've seen that the ways in which climate change has either sparked conflicts or has made existing conflicts worse again and again. This has been a major DoD priority,” Hennessey hyped.
Showing off the kind of person he is, Matthews retorted not with a quibble or a serious follow-up, but this awkward, pathetic questions: “What'd you think of the weather two weeks ago...What do you mean? Do you think it has to do with the weather we've been having?”

The left often says that climate change is the greatest threat to mankind. The greatest threat we have ever faced, etc.
I would love to see some debates on the issues.
For example, I think that the threats of Muslim terror are greater than the threats of global warming/climate change.
My reasoning is that ISIS and others are a clear and present danger right now, and want to kill us all.
Whereas, on the other hand, climate change, even if for sake of argument we say that it is happening, is not going to kill us all tomorrow.
If climate change is really happening, mankind will adapt and survive. We will clear out of low lying areas and move farther inland, if that’s what it takes. If rising sea levels are really that big a long term threat, we will adapt. We will survive.
But considering the threat of ISIS, there is no ability to adapt and survive, because if they could, they would kill us all.
Global Warming doesn’t even come close to the threat posed by the idiots that believe in Global Warming.

I’ve wondered about that very subject. Are all of the effects of global warming negative? For example, the midwest is a very fertile agricultural region, but is also an area of severe winters. If the climate did warm up over time, would we see longer growing seasons and more productivity in that area??? Liberals never talk about any of that.
I thought Russia was our biggest national security threat? Or was it Trump himself?
Our national security issues are:
The Russians, who hacked the elections, the Academy Awards, and our pets,
Foreigners, who steal American identities and usurp jobs that should go to Americans, while living off our tax dollars and bowing to our enemies,
Invaders, who come here in violation of our laws and commit crimes,
Warm weather is a blessing, not something I worry about!

I wonder if these knuckleheads realize by the time “climate change” becomes an actual issue, which I doubt it will, will we even be a nation to have a national security issue?
They can’t predict the weather out for two weeks, we are supposed to take their word for what will happen in 100, 200, 400 years and plan for it now?
