1. Pilot error
2. bad weather
3. mechanical failure
4. Trump’s fault......................
We demand someone investigate Schumer’s proclivity for pizza.
WOW...you don’t possibly think it could be the ‘hacking’ that the CIA did (maybe still doing) that could have done something to the chips inside the small aircrafts...
No, he’s not smart enough to put two and two together to get four, he would get seven...
“We need to find out what further taxes, fees and regulations we need to assess on general aviation”.
Another example of states rights, this does not rise to the level of a problem to be solved by feral gubmint intervention.
Because there is a risk private pilots might crash into Senators innocently enjoying an afternoon on the golf course, Schumer will no doubt call for a ban on flying. Followed by a ban on driving...
I’ve thought about this and concluded that all of the flatulence coming from the New Yawk City population, Broadway shows, late night TV and the politicians there cause the air over New Yawk City to become less dense which, in turn, causes small aircraft to lose lift and crash. Just a theory.
Graft?
Bring in Harrison Ford as a Subject Matter Expert.
obviously donald trump’s fault.
“A disastrous series of TWO crashes. Schumer continues to amaze. “
Someone needs to explain the negative effects of gravity on airplanes to Schmuckie Shoomer. He’s almost as bad as Cong. Hank “Guam is capsizing” Johnson.
People from NY tend to be liberals.
Most liberals are stupid.
Stupid people make poor decisions.
Poor decisions made while flying are dangerous.
Dangerous decisions lead to crashes.
Conclusion: Most liberals should not be allowed to pilot planes.
Corollary: Schumer is stupid.
isn’t schumer the guy that beats up female flight attendants?
Schmuck Schumer is the biggest media whore in Senate history.
Anything Chuckie calls for or requests should be answered by the WH with this :
Sorry Chuckie, but we are too busy trying to get all the nominees to the Presidents cabinet and SCOTUS confirmed. We don't have the people in place right now to deal with requests from congressmen. Get back to us once all of our nominees are confirmed. Good Day
Was this last Sunday, or is this report being given two days before a news conference that hasn't taken place yet?
I thought all Freepers already knew this loser's routine. He holds a press conference every Sunday morning just to get air time in front of New Yorkers. If there is nothing of any consequence for him to address, he'll make something up out of thin air ... like calling for the U.S. Department of Health & Services to conduct a study about the health impacts of bathing too infrequently, or a "disastrous series" of two small plane crashes in two months.
The text you posted says that there were 18 in the past year. Is that a lot for New York or not?
Whats the deal Chuck? Is small planes how you get back and forth to Washington?
What a piece of slime!
Not only had engine powered vehicles and aircraft had not been invented when the Constitution was drafted, but it remains that the states have never expressly constitutonally delegated to the corrupt feds the specific power to oversee transportation safety.
In fact, consider that regardless that the 14th Congress made a bill to appropriate revenues to build roads and canals, President James Madison vetoed the bill. Madison indicated in the constitutionally required veto explanation (1.7.2) that there are no clauses in Congresss Article I, Section 8-limited powers to justify the bill.
Veto of federal public works bill
Again, while the NTSB is probably a very good idea, it is based on stolen state powers imo.
So while Sen. Schumers concern about plane crashes is commendable, low-information, post-17th Amendment ratification Schumer is unsurprisingly helping to unconstitutionally expand the federal governments limited powers with his call for investigation of small plane crashes imo.
