This applies to those enterprising convenience store owners who end up getting busted for food stamp fraud. They’re almost all foreigners.
Off topic a bit, but I’ve wondered, why so many convenience store owners and workers, seem to be from other countries?
Why are all gas stations, at least in my area, run and leased by foreigners?
When we talk of immigration and talk of jobs Americans aren’t doing, it seems to me that among jobs Americans aren’t doing are running these convenience stores and gas stations.
Are 7-11’s franchised or leased? Because the same types of people seem to be working there, not just in the independent convenience stores.
Because the quick path to owning a turnkey business is through a franchise.

They buy them as a family affair and staff the stores with family members, the old model that merchants in the US once followed with storefront businesses and living in an apartment above. Natives could do the same with a large enough family. Not a nice life as far as leisure time and not a luxurious one, at least for many years building up the business and paying down any debt but it leads to a very profitable asset in the end.
They use many different names and claim children they don’t have - they shouldn’t be able to get a single PENNY from US taxpayers. If they can’t support themselves they need to stay in their own sh!thole.
A friend of mine used to work with several middle eastern immigrants. They all drove new luxury cars and were all getting the maximum welfare they could get. There is no way to track their home money so they scam America as much as they can.
Its just a cultural thing, nothing to see here.....
When running a gas station can subject you to unlimited environmental fines, it’s good to be able to easily flee the country.
Meanwhile, my 96-year-old mother supposedly received a $2.80/month increase in Social Security (which was never received) had her food stamp allotment reduced from $40/month to $16/month.
Needless to say, I will be shoving this article up some bureaucrat’s a$$.
I am not sure if this is true but I remember reading somewhere that they got crazy interest rates for their noncitizen owned businesses to encourage nonAmerican owned businesses. That is why after so many years their businesses change hands - very often to another family member- so they can get another loan.
Could it be that Mr. Agbapuruonwu did not allow her enough money for the children and home expenses...?

Because there are all kinds of loans tailored to minorities. I found that out a long time ago when I was trying to get a loan from the BEtter Business Bureau. Here’s a link that explains some of it.

BREITBART REPORTED: “Among the terror jihadists that travel back and forth through our porous southern border w/ Mexico is a Kuwaiti named Shaykh Mahmood Omar Khabir, an ISIS operative who lives in the Mexican state of Chihuahua not far from El Paso, Texas,” authorities reported.
According to US intelligence, Khabir now provides training to thousands of jihadis – mostly from Syria and Yemen – at a base in near Ciudad Juarez, which is located just across the border from El Paso, Texas.
US authorities found out about this activity during an investigation of food stamp fraud in a NJ bodega, looking into the store's wire-transfers (remittances).
They all seemed to trace back to one or two accounts in Mexico City.
Cooperating with Mexican Authorities, it soon became apparent that the bodega was aiding and abetting terror. Laundered money was wire-transferred from the NJ bodega to terror cells in Mexico.
I was seriously told by a relative back home that everyone she knows over forty is on disability. I replied, now you know one who isn’t, your welcome.. and drove to work.

I doubt any of these business’s actually pay tax on all their earnings. Tax cheating is a way of life where they come from. Also many get preferential treatment for SBA loans. Foreigners ahead of citizens.

This sort of thing is surprisingly common among peaceful Muslims -very few seem to have jobs but they drive around in luxury cars and are well-dressed and fed. The only reason this case came to light is because the Texas Muslim refugee committed two murders in Texas, one of which he actually got away with.
The murder of Christian believer, Gelareh Bagherzadeh, was reported earlier. Gelareh Bagherzadeh was an Iranian Christian who came to this country only to be murdered by a Muslim because she encouraged his daughter to marry the man she loved.
The Texas peace-loving Muslim claimed he was too disabled to work. But he wasn’t too disabled to kill.
BACKSTORY The peacable Texan, a strict Muslim, was furious when his Jordanian-American daughter married a man without his permission. The Muslim, Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan, blamed his daughters husband, relatives say. They say he also faulted one of her closest friends, 30-year-old Gelareh Bagherzadeh, a Christian convert who widely denounced Islam.

<><> Eleven months later, Irsan’s son-in-law died after being shot multiple times in northwest Texas, in the Harris County apartment he shared with his wife.
The peaceful Texas Muslim thought he could get away with murdering because he had already gotten away with so many other things in Texas.
Federal authorities executed a search warrant at Irsan’s sprawling, 5-acre property 40 miles north of Houston, where they allegedly found cash, diamonds, pearls, weapons and phony passports hidden in attic rafters, in secret compartments throughout a cluster of trailers and outbuildings and even inside the buried drum of a clothes dryer at the Conroe, Texas property.
The peaceful Muslim Irsan, his wife Shmou Ali Alrawabdeh, and another daughter were subsequently arrested on a variety of federal fraud charges and are in federal custody.
A federal criminal complaint detailing the discoveries recounts a saga of nearly 20 years in which the peace-loving 57-year-old naturalized citizen from Jordan, and his family, allegedly scammed taxpayer disability assistance funds claiming “fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue symptoms,” and “affective disorders” while secreting real estate, vehicles and cash in US and foreign bank accounts.
The complaint also alleges the peaceful Muslim Irsan:

<><> once disabled a safety feature on a saw then purposefully cut himself to receive a $75,000 settlement.
The peace-loving Muslim Ali was certainly industrious and entrepreneurial, just not quite in the way amnesty advocates like to claim.
UT-OH—Also found on the property was a makeshift gun range, which witnesses said “five or six Muslim families” frequently visited to fire AK-47s and information about Irsan’s attempts to get a silencer. Nothing to do with peace-loving Islam I’m sure.

While there have been no allegations of radical Islamic terrorist ties, the peaceful Muslim family’s alleged (a) foreign bank accounts, (b) suspicious wire transactions, and (c) Muslim Irsan’s strict adherence to Islam may have been a motive in the alleged murders.
Authorities are also re-examining a 1999 case in which Irsan was not indicted after claiming self-defense in the shooting of son-in-law Amjad Alidam, who was married to Nasemah Rachelle Irsan.
Prosecutors also revealed, in connection to the social security fraud and credit card charges against Irsan, that they found more than 200 credit cards with various names and multiple variations of his own name throughout the home.
Arresting officers say they also found more than 40 similar credit cards in his wallet the morning the peace-loving Muslim was arrested.
His daughter also alleges, among multiple other schemes detailed in court documents, that Ali Irsan purposely disabled the safety device on a Ryobi rotary saw and purposely cut his own foot. Prosecutors say he used that injury to receive a $75,000 settlement from the manufacturer.
