Not a mugging, nothing was taken, and not an altercation, they didn’t rise to a fight. I’d call it an attack - a hate crime, if you will. Unprovoked and as a result of ideology, one must presume (as in the case of other hate crimes).

Me, too. Yeah, I think it was a mostly political, physical attack by a drunk liberal on someone in the Bay Area widely known to be Conservative.

Sober, they’ll give you a ribbing, or maybe insult you bit.

Bring a little or a lot of BOOZE into the San Fran picture, and this account ABSOLUTELY sounds plausible to me.

In California, they might classify this as a mugging....but in New Jersey, mugging would have a totally different definition.

A battery is a harmful or offensive touching. There’s a case where a man was prosecuted for assault after grabbing a plate from another man in a buffet line.
None of us would think of doing anything like this, so let’s call it what it is: another mugging by a violent left wing nut.
