I read the article, and that's what it seemed to say. Of course, no hint they were somehow organized by the local Bishop, which would be absolutely bonkers. The other vague charge was that Churches were violated as sanctuaries. Imagine that? In a civil-war where 800K people were killed, enraged mobs of Africans didn't recognize the sanctity of churches??? Its all so ridiculous.
It’s really too bad he did this, because the anti-religion sect will capitalize on it until the end of time, describing “Admitted Catholic Complicity” for all the mileage they can get every time religion is under attack.
