You are so right. Its not just in Government. Its standard procedure for a student to be asked to write their own letter of recommendation these days & give it to the professor to sign.

President Trump was elected by the people, for the people and of the people...he will not fail us...

IF this bill passes, he will have a plan, if it doesn’t pass, which I hope it doesn’t because we will never see parts 2 and 3, he will have a plan...

There have been times in the campaign when I thought for sure he was done, only to come back stronger by doubling down...he will make us proud, we just have to trust him...

20 highest paid healthcare ceos in 2015
http://www.beckershospitalreview.com/compensation-issues/20-highest-paid-healthcare-ceos-in-2015.html

Stephen Hemsley, CEO of UnitedHealthCare insurance
He made $106 million in 2009 and $100 million in 2012 and $66 million in 2015 from what I found.

1 guy whose greed could have funded 10’s of thousands of people healthcare. You can bet he and the other ceo’s bribed every member of congress to get obamacare passed as they figured a captive clientele would make them more money.

Now they are re-working it for Trumpcare.

Everybody wake up. The insurance companies and the drug companies are the problem.

Medicine as a shareholder driven profit motivated entity will always harm the doctor patient relationship.

Independent, reasonably regulated competitive and smaller insurance companies may be the best answer along with appropriate tax credits and subsidies.

Ryan is a heartless, corporatist globalist hack. Donald should get rid of him.

RINO RYAN and Mitch the Turtle and quite a few others...what's the hold up on the DOJ??? No department is better than having Clinton hold over Comey and McCabe in there...surely A.G. Sessions could give President Trump someone to put into those positions...

The House and Senate I think now is hopeless, they are all ‘owned’ by the globalists and don't want to give up any of their money that comes in everyday to worry about the American People...

President Trump, however, just gave up One Million Dollars in his company to support America and the American People...

I believe Trump backed only his own agenda.

I think Trump was willing to let Ryan try to pull it together between all the factions, and that Trump knew the Freedom Caucus and Congressional Study Group, together, had his back.

The Freedom Caucus was always more lined up with Trump than Ryan ever was. Not perfectly, but easily more so than Ryan and his big business backers.

Now Trump has had several public rallies and TV interviews over the past three weeks, and has said in every single one of them the very same thing he said from the beginning— “Repeal Obamacare”, “Lower Premiums”, “Get rid of forced government mandates” and “Replace with better coverage and more choice (across state lines)”.

Ryan blocked the Freedom Caucus from the table for the past two weeks until 3 days ago.

Down to the wire Ryan finally counts votes and discovers the Caucus has dug their heels in and would not vote for higher premiums, no repeal of Obamacare and keeping the Obamacare structure.

Ryan wasn’t listening to Trump, out on the road. Nothing changed of Trump’s promised agenda to the people.

Ryan did not lower premiums. He raised them.
Ryan did not repeal Obamacare. He left the Obamacare big government structure intact.
Ryan has veterans forced into Medicaid right along with the illegals covered.

The Freedom Caucus was listening to Trump. They would have none of it that Ryan crafted and kept in his bill.

Trump showed up for Ryan, he called in the factions to the White House and then let the legislature go legislate it.

Ryan still wouldn’t deal with the Caucus. He wouldn’t give. The thing collapsed on Ryan.

Trump even promised concessions to the Freedom Caucus, on down the process, to try and bring in a few votes. But Ryan would need to do his part, right?. But, no, he still gives the Caucus nothing.

This was Ryan crafting this thing.
Trump let Ryan hang himself.
And, the Freedom Caucus had his back.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Please comment on my proposed solution. I would add that small insurance companies should be 501c3 charitable enteties.

The system will indeed ‘crash and burn’ if left unattended.

Here’s why:

Insurance companies will withdraw because Trump will not enforce the tax penalties. The only thing driving some people to Obamacare coverage were premiums of ~$175/mo vs. setting aside ~ $350/mo to pay the tax penalty.

Without a tax penalty, people will stop paying the low premiums because the coverage has extremely high deductibles. It makes no sense to pay any premium amount when the annual deductible will never be met.

Without people paying insurance for fake coverage, insurance companies will withdraw.

Thus, the system collapses.

It is all hinged on the tax penalty, the enforcement or non-enforcement thereof.

Your last statement is partially correct. People will not demand the repeal of a system that has collapsed but they will pay higher premiums for reasonable deductibles which is how it existed not more than 8 years ago.

Insurance companies will come back offering not $175/mo premiums with $8000 annual deductible (single person) but with $325/mo premium and $3000 annual deductible.

What the President wants is a freer market and no state monopolies. So in the example above, an offer of $325/mo premium with $3000 annual deductible might be countered in another state by a company offering $290/mo premium and a $2700 annual, and so on.

The President in a livestream facebook meeting with ordinary Americans at a conference table in the White House told them he wants Obamacare repealed and he wants free market policies in place soon because people are going to suffer. There were many testimonies around the table listing specific examples of horrors people were facing TODAY and what they are going to be facing this year is even drastically worse. The President is keenly aware of this and he wants to help people NOW.

But the President also stated that some of his closest advisors were telling him that it was best to let Obamacare collapse on its own but that he would suffer in the press because the press never tells the truth. The people at the table nodded in agreement.

However, it will take the better part of this year for Obamacare to collapse and it will take longer for the market to adjust. In the meantime, real people, real families are in trouble and are facing drastic decisions.

Until the focus shifts to providing affordable healthcare, rather than health "insurance", the root problem will never be solved. Healthcare is the one area where we expect "insurance" to cover routine and expected expenses. That's economically impossible. You buy insurance to cover extraordinary and unexpected expenses.

Any "insurance" promising the former is simply a subsidy / cost pass-through scheme for the medical industry that completely insulates it from any real market forces, which is why prices are too high in the first place.

More and more it seems to me that letting RyanCare go down in flames is the best outcome here.

Me too, because it inflicts the greatest damage on Ryan, and that's where the damage should be.

Even if President Trump gets some flask as a result of this, it enables him to hopefully weaken Ryan to the point that he is replaced, and at some point a reasonable Obamacare repeal and replace can occur.

This abomination written by the insurance industry certainly doesn't meet the criteria set for by the President during his campaign, and for which the People voted...
