Californians wake up every day delighted to be in California, and then they remember that they are also in the United States. The bougainvillea catches the rising sun in San Clemente, the sapphire tide heaves into Big Sur - and three time zones to the East, President Donald Trump has been up and tweeting for hours.
"I don't want to look at my phone in the morning," said Cynthia Blatt. "Some people are in shock. Some are angry. They don't know quite what to do."
Blatt can't defend America from Trump anymore, but they can defend West Hollywood from Trump-like developers. The Resistance has taken many forms, and one form is California-shaped. At a nearby Starbucks, wannabe Instagram stars are fretting over martial law. At an A-list rally outside a Beverly Hills talent agency, Jodie Foster proclaims: "This is our time to resist." Up in Sacramento, the Democrat-controlled state Senate is trying to sandbag the White House's aggressive immigration policies.

A brilliant beacon of hope that the State will continue to be American, not Mexican.
Nobody wants to live in Mexico. Not even the Mexicans, which is why they run, not walk, to the U.S.
Amazing how the lefties use fact free lefty feelings to be used as news against President Trump!
It’s as if western California (and a few parts of some left wing Eastern cities) are on another planet.

Mr. Zak (if that’s his REAL name) doesn’t speak for me. I’m a Californian who lives about 40 miles downstream from The Oroville Dam. I wake up every morning and check to see if my floors are dry. If they are, I get up.

Also, I would direct your attention to the fact that the largest base of support for FR (and money) comes from within California. We can all rest easy knowing that people like you were also in the minority when this country was founded.
