Secret Service agents cleared the White House's North Lawn Tuesday morning while the president was home after a man reportedly said he had a bomb.
The North Lawn was evacuated and reporters were locked into the press room so that armed agents could search the area just before 10:30am.
Around 11:50am, the shelter in place was listed but agents continued to investigate the suspect's package behind a secure perimeter...
Just before 11am, the Secret Service confirmed that they were investigating a suspicious package near the grounds.
About 50 minutes later, they said they had a suspect in custody and that they were continuing to investigate the package.
A Secret Service agent said that the suspect carrying a package approached an officer at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue around 10:15am and made 'suspicious' comments.
They then seized his package and took the suspect into custody.
Explosives teams are reportedly investigating the package behind a security perimeter.

Anyone who claims they have a bomb when at the White House should be shot to prevent them from detonating it. That doesn’t totally preclude someone further away watching doing it. But it would remove him from doing it, and it would send a message.
Sick of these White House intruders. They need to slam the door on this or a deadly attack is inevitable.

One man ran into the White House and down the hall during the Obama years. One just hopped the fence and was against the White House, trying doors for 15 minutes. Another nut was arrested on the grounds.
These have been psychos. But the dedicated Islamic A-holes are watching. The day is coming that a suicide bomber runs in and detonates 20 pounds of explosives just inside the front door.....if we are lucky.

I tend to agree with all the previous Freepers who maintain that all of these intruders are going in on purpose to test the security to try and find weak spots to carry out a real threat in the future. Shoot them on sight.
