I had no reason to form that opinion, but I formed it nonetheless.
I changed my mind watching his interviews and how he actually did what he said he would during the nomination campaign. He made it clear he was only interested in following the will of the GOP primary voters, and once Trump got close to the required delegates did nothing to obstruct, and everything right to help complete the nomination process for Trump. He fought the nevertrumpers, the RINOS and the conservative supporters of Cruz to make certain it turned out right. He clearly liked Trump fairly early on, and has been a true warrior for him.
Because of what I saw and heard, I have tended to defend him to others, and will do so until there is actual evidence that he is pushing against the Trump agenda.
My opinions are formed over time, and sometimes deep in, I can’t remember how I go there. And so it is with Ryan, a man I have come not to have any trust in.
Now it is possible I developed my position based on selective things I heard that didn’t give the completely accurate story. It may also be that he did sign on to the movement and altered his ways.
I’m not rock solid he’s against Trump, but I am troubled by the idea Trump signed on to Ryan’s flawed plan, and who may have encouraged him to do so.
I’m willing to reserve final determination on Priebus.
