Amanda Carpenter, Kayleigh McEnany Battle Over Ivanka White House Role as Unpaid Advisor to POTUS

Amanda Carpenter and Kayleigh McEnany battled on CNN tonight over Ivanka Trump getting a formal White House position as assistant to the president.

Last week Carpenter wrote that Ivanka Trump getting that White House role is nothing but nepotism, and tonight told Erin Burnett that there’s a reason we have all those ethics and nepotism rules in the first place.

McEnany said that Carpenter should want a working woman like Ivanka Trump in the White House, particularly because Ivanka has challenged Republican orthodoxy on certain issues. Carpenter shot back, “She’s not qualified!”

As they kept going back and forth, McEnany even told Carpenter, “You are doing more harm to the cause of feminism by tearing down another woman ruthlessly.”

Carpenter laughed and said if Ivanka Trump “wants to be treated like a political person,” that’s what she’s going to do. She argued that there are plenty of women in government far more qualified for a position with security clearance.

McEnany asked if she had a problem with Hillary Clinton‘s role in her husband’s White House. Carpenter said this in response:

“I’m the one that’s being consistent here… I’m a consistent conservative. I have a problem with nepotism, whether it’s Bill Clinton, whether it’s Donald Trump. So there’s no there there, Kayleigh. You’re the one that goes back and forth and… changes your views based on the political party.”

Where was the outrage when Obama had a family baby sitter drawing over $160,000 per year?

I suppose neither woman would have had a problem with the Kennedy family populating the WH and Justice dept. Nepotism? It’s the norm for liberals, to keep us Conservatives out.

Personally Trump doesn't need to make his own daughter an official advisor, clearly she already was unofficially. I personally believe that the only reason he did was because of the buzz that she's the unofficial First Lady, which is hurtful to Melania. So Trump took that off the table.

That said, I can think of two far more egregious cases of nepotism. First, I give you Attorney General Robert Kennedy. Second, I give you Hillary Clinton.

RFK is the REASON why we have the NEPOTISM LAW, now.

This is not nepotism. Thats when someone gets a job because they are family. Ivanka is not getting anything. She is not getting paid. And she is not taking a position from anyone.

The President always brings in people that he can trust implicitly. Obama brought in Holder and Jarrett. Bush brought in Rice and Rove. JFK brought in RFK. Presidents absolutely need to be surrounded by people they trust because they are walking into a large organization of people with mixed loyalties.

Democrats can play this anyway they wish, but it has always been done. And its actually a good thing. As a president of a company I can tell you its so important to have someone you can trust on the inside who is not looking to move up.

This is just yet another nugget in the MSMs quest to destroy Trump by any means.

Seriously! Amanda Carpenter leads with her claws and her hatred now, since her squeaky guy LOST, got his head handed to him, that her near future went down the toilet with him, that her flirtations were o v e r, and that the media exposed her as practically a Cruz groupie.

Her *me, me, me* tweets, and all-about-my-body photos, and her special-me tatoo bonding with Cruz, and now she is nearly nowhere to be found online, and NO ONE watches her on CNN, but the LEFT. Worse, is that no one cares that Amanda is missing. LOL!!

McEnany is such a lady bug type it’s a cake walk for Amanda and Ana Navarro to use her for eye rolls and a punching bag.
Her points are good but she delivers nothing with any power or influence in that CNN bar fight.
