The GOP was forced to keep a procedural vote open for just over an hour after two Republicans senators, Alaska's Lisa Murkowski and Maine's Susan Collins, voted against moving ahead on the measure. During that time, the GOP got Pence to the Senate to break a 50-50 tie and cast the deciding vote.
He previously broke a tie on the nomination of Betsy DeVos to be education secretary.
A final vote on the bill is expected later Thursday, when Pence's vote likely will be needed again.

Murkowski’s father belonged to the Corrupt B*stards’ Club, who ruled Alaska before Sarah Palin gave them the boot. Then, thanks to McCain, Murkowski had back in by cheating and bribing.
Mr. Pollstar: UR right. We can live with Collins. Alaska is ours and Sarah should have taken her out just like she took out the woman’s father. We can’t complain on the sidelines like the rats who can’t accept Trump’s victory. The STRONGEST candidate has to step forward and lead. Like Bernie she’s out for herself.

The worst flight I ever had was sitting in front of Murkowski’s mother in law on a flight to Hawaii. She spent near the entire 5 hours talking about her. Nauseating.

Murkowski got in with a BS write in by “beating” a tea party favorite who won the GOP primary. So the GOPe looked the other way when she stole the election with the write in ballot. She is the daughter of long time GOP Senator who was a pork master.
AZ is a open primary state. The Rats know McTraitor is a rat mole and they keep him in there. SC needs ONE conservative primary challenger. They always get several who split the base and the Rats keep Linda in.
And don’t forget the crap they pulled to keep Thad “sheep r sexy” Cochran in office as well.
I agree. They’re horrible, but the GOP has no party discipline so these loonies can go their way with no consequences.
