Grownups should have a choice. Case in point is the Lyme Disease vaccine. It was available for humans until some hysterical group raised enough hell that the manufacturer withdrew it from the market. Mind you, no one was ever injured by the vaccine. It was hysteria over the mere possibility that it might harm someone, somewhere. The identical vaccine has been given to dogs for year after year with no problem.

I would like a choice. I spend a lot time in the woods and fields, and it becomes a huge pain in the butt to treat your clothes with permethrin, then use 100% deet when you go out, and then inspecting yourself for ticks later. I'm sure that wearing clothes that have been soaked in permethrin is probably more risky than any Lyme disease vaccine.

I know friends and acquaintances who have gotten Lyme disease. It is a chronic condition and has residual effects for years after you have been "cured". It is like getting rheumatoid arthritis. Biologically Lyme disease is most similar to syphilis, being caused by a similar bacteria.

I want my vaccine for Lyme disease.

I don't know enough about this issue to voice any advice. What I do know is the VA has made a determination that based on empirical studies of military personnel who were routinely immunized to everything on the planet there has been a far greater incidence of dementia than in the non military experience universe. This info was provided by my county veterans advocate at a recent meeting I attended.

The very same idiots that claim that are the 1 in 68 that have autism give their child Ritalin to cause them to be zombies instead of active children.

1 in 68 DO NOT have Autism! They are active children and their parents want them to be little adults and sit down and shut up instead of active and playful. So, the parents agree to medicate their children.

Schools get more money when they proclaim a child has problems. They love the stupidity of parents that are more than willing to claim their child is autistic.
