Former CIA Analyst: Susan Rice's NSA Demasking Denials Don't Add Up
Fox News ^ | April 04, 2017 | Fred Fleitz

In an interview with Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC Tuesday, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice broke her silence over this week’s stunning reports that she requested the names of Trump campaign and transition officials be “demasked” from National Security Agency (NSA) intercepts.

It was an awkward interview. Rice confirmed that she requested the demasking of Americans while she was National Security Adviser. While Rice would not deny that she asked that names of Trump officials be demasked, she insisted the Obama administration did not spy on Mr. Trump or his staff for political purposes.

As a former CIA analyst who has handled requests for demasking the names of American citizens for a U.S. policymaker, I thought Rice’s claims in her interview did not add up.

The names of U.S. citizens “incidentally” mentioned in NSA reports are masked to preserve their identities because America’s intelligence agencies are barred from spying on American citizens except in extraordinary circumstances with court approval.

Much pressure needs to be applied to Ms. Rice in order to make her give up Barry.

This is a no-brainer:

Rice, at the direction of Val Jarret, unmasked the names of Trump staff for political purposes.

Combine this with Obama allowing the sharing of raw intel among all 17 agencies, and you have a recipe for untraceable leaks.

Add this to the fact that those unmasked were the result of reverse targeting and you have a combination of Federal felonies which is unprecedented.

“reverse targeting” is done by using initially legal surveillance of foreign entities, and then identifying Americans at the other end of the line.
Subsequently, those Americans become primary and direct surveillance targets....for purely political reasons.

The only question is who wasn't surveilled by the Obama thugs.

[ Former CIA Analyst: Susan Rice's NSA Demasking Denials Don't Add Up ]

Could it be that Susan Rice is lying through her teeth like she did in 2012 when she went on 5 Sunday talk shows to claim the terrorist attack in Libya happened because of a YouTube video? Nah, that can't be......

Reggie Love? They might have picked up something incidental involving president O if they did that...

From the article: A very, very important point:

"Also factor in House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes’s disclosure in a March 22 press conference that the names of Trump campaign or transition officials were demasked from NSA reports that had nothing to do with Russia or alleged wrongdoing by the Trump campaign."

We have already heard CNN claiming that Rice was exercising her legal right to unmask these intercepts since they were related to the Russian investigation. We cannot let them get away with lies like that.

The Lying Black Racist Benghazi Bamboozler Strikes Again

Susan Rice Quote from her commencement speech at Florida International University, May 2016:

“there are too many white people in key government posts, creating the danger of “groupthink” that could put U.S. security at risk.”

This Rice thing smells like a set up to me.

Lame cherry has a piece on this that basically says; The "too-white" Trump administration beating up on a poor black woman will galvanize the left in 2018.

Rice is claiming unmasking was a legal part of her job duties.

Who threw Susan under the bus?

Is it really Susan thats about to be squashed?

We got a new question to consider now, also: Did the Obama team spy on the Romney campaign also?

We have already heard CNN claiming that Rice was exercising her legal right to unmask these intercepts since they were related to the Russian investigation.

We know that's just more bovine excrement.

HOWEVER - the unmasked information is still classified.

Unmasking of the information and names does not cause it to become unclassified.

So the spurious argument that the unmasking was legal still does not apply to the subsequent leaking of the unmasked information and the names of American citizens.

The disclosure of classified information remains a felony punishable by 10 years in prison under 18 U.S. Code § 798.

Watch for some poor schlub to turn up in Ft. Marcy Park with a bad case of Arkancide and a suicide note admitting he is the leaker.

Susan rice was not an INVESTIGATOR!! She was a political advisor to Barrack Obama!! She had no business spying and reading wire taps on TRUMP and his campaign or transition team. This is ludicrous. Where is the PRESS? Where is obama??? This is exploding!!These was the greatest abuse of government power in our history by far. It was the use of US intelligence against the REPUBLICAN NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT. Many will go to prison!!

Yet, Rice did acknowledge that sometimes after receiving “masked” reports, it would be necessary to find out the identity of the American citizen in order to make the report more useful. It was those instances, she said, a request would be made to “unmask” the American’s identity. She then provided a rather generic hypothetical of how it may have happened.

“Let me give you just a hypothetical example,” Rice said. “Let’s say there was a conversation between two foreigners, about a conversation they were having with an American, who was proposing to sell to them high-tech bomb making equipment.”

She explained it would be necessary to find out the identity of the American to see if he was a legitimate threat or just some “kook.”

The implication of your example makes you scum. You should be in jail. After all, a man spent 1 year in jail for your lies regarding Benghazi.

Normally I could see that, but face it; the left has had it turned up to 11 since day ONE. They and everyone else is going to suffer from burn out. Voters are also so sick of the race baiting stuff as well. The hard left IS galvanized; and they are only about 20% of the population.

I am so tired of all these “former” people commenting on the facts of this story, and that their comments are “breaking news”. Can we please hear from “current” people who actually have knowledge of exactly what is happening and can actually do something about it. That might be breaking news, or even meaningful news.
