Agreed, like Texas was ever in doubt. Perry’s a good guy but I don’t know what he brings to the table in terms of national security.

Texas, in every way: military, energy, economic, academic, populus, really is a country into itself. Not a huge fan of Perry, but keeping track of this State does imbue one with breadth and depth of knowledge and experience.

Remember, zero gunned after us for 8 solid years, we literally fought a cold war the Uncle Sam the whole time.

“Pandering to Muslims was part of Texas politics. But he’s running for nationwide office in a country where Muslims are less of a political force than they are in his state. That may give him more freedom to break with the past.

The very fact that two Texas governors have done it this way suggests that the entire political path to the top is badly contaminated. That it’s easier to pander than to take a stand.”

Stop and think for a moment.

This site insults your intelligence with ads for 3 BS miracle drugs, semi-naked women at Walmart and s supposed secret video by Hillary.

Why would anyone respect their BS “news” any more than they respect our intelligence with their scam ads?

Does he know ANYTHING about national security? I mean, maybe he does. But you sure can’t find it in his resume.

Maybe Trump likes him, and is helping to expand Perry's nat.sec experience. Help those that help the team, and improve the long term marketability of the bench.

This makes sense. Someone needs to advocate to beef up security on the E Interconnection, W Connector and ERCOT (Texas). Our electric grid needs to be a high priority for NSC
