not the FLU that killed people but the resulting pneumonia
In April of 1918, a great aunt died from pneumonia ... in the fall, her 23 y/o son died from pneumonia ... and a day later, his 3 y/o daughter died from pneumonia.
My guess is they all had the Spanish Flu.

That was a BAD flu! The Alaskan Eskimos and Indian tribes in the Amazon also caught it and died.
