So, for the low-information broadcaster, here’s a primer on why what happened last night is not “unconstitutional”.
The War Powers Act, also known as the War Powers Resolution of 1973, requires the following: the President, upon sending troops into military action, must notify Congress within 48 hours that he has done so. The Resolution also forbids military personnel from remaining in a state of conflict for more than 60 days (including an additional 30 days for withdrawal). After that, the President must seek an additional authorization from Congress or a formal declaration of war.
Ms. Behar, with the respect that I give all fellow broadcasters, you need to check your facts before you open your pie hole. You only drag down the careers of other broadcasters by speaking when you haven’t the first clue what you’re talking about.

The Libs are nutty hypocrites. Trump did not more on no more authority than what Obama did in Libya, or what he later did in Yemen and Somalia. The Libs are SUCH fellow travelers of the Marxist, for whom the “antiwar” “movement” ONLY shows up when a Conservative does military things that a Leftish White House would be forgiven for doing.
So the same stupid emotional arguements are being made on both sides as theyve used for years but for the last two months theyve swapped scripts.
Its kind of like a daytime version of Hannity and Colmes, individuals representing two different groups arguing over things neither individual understands and misrepresenting the groups positions.
