I was sorry to see Flynn replaced by McMaster.
I thought Mattis was an inspired pick until he wanted to hire Ann Patterson.

Both Flynn and McMaster appear to me to be conniving liars, out to make personal deals to benefit themselves only. Makes sense, these guys connive their way up thru the ranks; they make deals as they go. And when they reach the top, like Petraeus, they shack up with a hot broad and pillow talk about military secrets, among other activities; like lobbying for enemy countries, buddying up with democRAT operatives, etc.
