The southern hemisphere winter is arriving early. Snow is rare in Australia, so it is newsworthy.

Back in the 1990s, were were told that the Australian snow fields were finished - a thing of the past. But that has gone the way of all Global Warming predictions, we don't hear anything more about it.

🌨❄️. Mount Rose just south of Reno has gotten over 720" this season. Cumulative but a record buster. And, yup. More coming.

Snow in Australia? That’s got to be the best thing to knock all the poisonous critters down.

Yup. Just checked. Latest total 732” with more coming. They are staying open until Memorial Day. Too bad my back won’t let me hit the slopes any longer. Link to their site.

Snow does squat to the things down here that can kill you. Just makes them meaner and keener to get inside your house where it’s warm.

We know a couple, who moved up to your area tolive and ski.

They came back here for a couple of weeks in March to get out of all the snow and to warm up.

Not rare, just unpredictable

Ten years ago there were amajor snowfalls on Christmas Day (That's summertime)

I think Global Warming was responsible.

LOL! We know some like that. But, as far as being cold this winter, it really didn’t get subzero kind of cold like we have seen a few times. But precip...............Bunches! Folks a couple miles northwest of our place are having flooding issues in what was a dry lake bed. No place for the water to go either and the ground is so saturated it isn’t percolating. Hopefully the county is thinking ahead enough to consider the mosquito hatch that IS gonna happen before too long.
