On Wednesday, Fox News announced that it was parting ways with "The O'Reilly Factor" host Bill O'Reilly, whose ratings dominated the network. But due to a contract O'Reilly signed late last month, he'll be walking away with quite a sizable severance package.
"It is a staggering amount," a source involved in the exit maneuverings told CNN Money. The outlet reported that Fox will pay O'Reilly "tens of millions of dollars." Due to a confidentiality agreement, 21st Century Fox and O'Reilly's representatives would not acknowledge the payout.
But two well-placed sources told CNN Money that O'Reilly will be paid handsomely as he leaves the network, primarily because he signed a new contract in March.
The two sources independently confirmed that the new contract was worth about $25 million per year. This contrasted with earlier news reports estimating the new contract's worth at between $18 and $20 million per year.

But you know what? Fox and OReilly got what they deserved. Rather than resolving the issue when the allegations occurred, they punted with multi-million dollar settlements. No one benefits from that.

His termination had nothing to do with harassment charges. Action was only taken when it affected Fox’s/Murdochs’ pocket.
I like Carlson at 8 but I do not believe he has the breathe of show to carry an audience over a long haul, surely not 21 years. As such, anyone who follows will be in a slip stream unless they had their own drawing power which that bunch does not have.

Hannity gets paid well too, and I’m sure he’ll get a big settlement when they find a way to get rid of him. I’m not a big fan of any one of them, but it doesn’t make these kind of tactics alright to me.

My guess is there's a few grains of truth to this sexual harassment claim but it's mostly bogus as these things usually are. He said she said and they take her word for it for some nutty reason. If it were true any woman would have plenty of opportunities to get it recorded for proof. None of these women did that; that we know of. Some women will take offense at anything. I was just talking with a woman once and she showed me her wedding ring. I wanted to say to her that it was nice but going out with her was the last thing on my mind but then she probably would have yelled rape. I just said I have to go and left. Some women, too many I think, are too psychotic to work among normal people.

The payout to O’Reilly will look like peanuts compared to the loss FOX will take from the drop in prime time viewers with The Factor off the air.
Do they really think Tucker Carlson will draw the same numbers as O’Reilly?
Do they really think prime time viewers are going to stay on FOX to watch The Five?
How many will be able to stomach the snarly old Libtard Bob Beckle and The Raging Idiot Greg Gutfeld night after night?
