This week we learned that the ever “media friendly” smiling publicity hound of the House of Representatives, Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah, would not run again for his seat next year. Ironically, as Chaffetz announced that he would step down from his seemingly powerful role as chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee – a body that is the investigative “scandal arm” of the House – it was revealed by Circa News that an investigation he had conducted over the tragic shoot down of Extortion 17 was part of an elaborate government cover-up, itself criminal in nature. Had Chaffetz remained as chairman, ironically, his own committee would have had to investigate and likely take action against him. Let me explain.
Extortion 17 was a hastily arranged mission in Afghanistan in 2011 whereby 30 American servicemen, 22 of them special ops, were sent into battle allegedly to kill terrorists and then shot down by the Taliban, with the financial and other assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the complicity of then Afghan President Hamid Karzai, one of the most corrupt politicians in world history. Here is the video of a presser we held on May 9, 2013 explaining this tragedy. This occurred just three months after Osama bin Laden was allegedly killed. (A picture of bin Laden’s body has never been disclosed publicly. Some have speculated that he died before of natural causes and that President Obama claimed credit to further his 2012 election effort.) Several brave heroes died tragically on that fateful day, Aug. 6, 2011.

This makes Karzai’s comments denouncing the MOAB attack even more believable, and disgusting.

What about the seal who described how he shot bin laden?
In this scenario, that seal would be a liar then. I tend to believe he told the truth, unless they threatened his family.
Still is speculation. From the article, it said they couldn’t find the black box. I thought that military aircraft don’t have black boxes because of secrecy.
I think that the Democrats sucker the Republicans in.
The Democrats are doing some huge crimes and they get the Republicans involved. They get them involved just enough to be able to blackmail them.
Then, the Republicans keep quiet and run away.
This allows the Democrats to pull off some huge crimes.
I am sure there is something bad threatened or about to come that that caused not only his sudden announcement to skip re-election, but then to follow-up and say he’d resign as soon as it was clear how a replacement would be elected. He’s corrupt (or something else) and been caught.
Or, possibly, his neverTrump stuff caught up to him and he knew he was toast anyway. I don’t know his district, though.
Bottom line, Chaffetz resignation doesn’t pass the smell test.

Don’t think Karzai acted alone in setting up E17; the tactical decisions that placed the warriors in an inadequate aircraft, with late “ANA” arrivals, had to come from way up the US military chain. SEALs and their immediate command wouldn’t ever voluntarily hamstring themselves thus. And this helps explain why obama and his ventriloquist’s dummy named Joe, were so anxious to put the spotlight on ST6 immediately after the bin laden hit.
No, I think obama played the decisive role here. When the winds of change got ugly, he sided with his brother muslims.

Maybe he shot a body double, and just thinks or was convinced it was OBL. (Several have speculated there were several. )

I find not plausible that this is the only thing that would cause Cheffetz to not run again...
