A top New York Times editor decided the paper shouldn’t use the term “female genital mutilation” because the phrase is too “culturally loaded” and widens a divide between the Western world and “people who follow the rite.”
Health and Science editor Celia Dugger said she came to the conclusion to refer to the act of removing the female genitalia of young girls as “genital cutting” during a trip to Africa in the 1990s. She spoke about her decision in a Times mailbag article in response to a reader’s question.
“I never minced words in describing exactly what form of cutting was involved, and there are many gradations of severity, and the terrible damage it did, and stayed away from the euphemistic circumcision, but chose to use the less culturally loaded term, genital cutting,” Dugger wrote. “There’s a gulf between the Western (and some African) advocates who campaign against the practice and the people who follow the rite, and I felt the language used widened that chasm.”

I noticed yahoo this morning called it "female circumcision" - as if there is such a thing.
Genital mutilation was the proper designation. But to normalize it (and Islam) MSM has to resort to Orwellian tactics.
And the feminists complaining and marching about this... Nowhere to be found.
How frightening is this that it’s now acceptable to mutilate women? All are to be sacrificed on the altars of Islam and communism.

Perhaps I should alert Yahoo, that male circumcision does not put an end to sexual pleasure.

Because the left believes no rights are derived from God, everything and everyone can be sacrificed. And I mean really sacrificed as in killed.
The term “culturally loaded” is culturally loaded. It implies that cultures other than our own are fragile and primitive by comparison.

Its more insidious than simply mutilating women. This act is done with the one and only expressed purpose that the woman will never enjoy sex so she will never have the desire to cheat on her husband. This is apparently ok with women who seemingly place 100% of their identity into their sexuality and demand the world pay for it to boot
It’s not a rite...it’s a health hazard.

Get off your high horses, women cannot be priests in the Catholic Church. NYC needs to declare Sharia Law in the city limits.
I guess New York Slimes is against male circumcision, since that’s what genital mutilation will mean to many. I keep reading how the Slimes continuously attacks Israel, which this will end up doing.
