These 15 illegals are being held by ICE, they’re examples.

Here’s a very short excerpt from CA SB 54:

“Existing law provides that when there is reason to believe that a person arrested for a violation of specified controlled substance provisions may not be a citizen of the United States, the arresting agency shall notify the appropriate agency of the United States having charge of deportation matters.

This bill would repeal those provisions.”

This bill would repeal those provisions.

But it would require that the authorities notify ICE of the scheduled release or parole of any illegal who has been doing time for a violent or serious felony, or had done time for a violent or serious felony in the past. Every one of the cases cited by the sheriff would fall under those guidelines.
