Man forced to surrender his 'offensive' Star Trek license plate

A Canadian man's license plate can forget about living long and prospering. After receiving multiple complaints, Manitoba resident Nick Troller was forced to hand over his license plate that read "ASIMIL8," a reference to the Borg, a popular alien race from Star Trek. The Borg are villainous cybernetic organisms who assimilate other societies into their own. The phrases "we are the Borg" and "resistance is futile" are printed on the license plate's frame.

Explanation: “Troller told CTV Winnipeg that he received a call from someone at the Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) office who told him that two people called the MPI and complained that his license plate was “offensive” to minorities. Troller also stated that he received a letter telling him to immediately “surrender” the license plate.”

From the way the article was worded, it suggests an [original] aboriginal-guilt whiner, rather than an actual member of Canada’s First Nation.

Now that I think about it, Canada has a town named "Vulcan", and I'm pretty sure they're all ST nuts there, including the town council. Or were a few years back.
Maybe the complainer got a parking ticket there at one time, and sought revenge against all things ST.

The left doesn’t want them to assimilate! It wants all newcomers to remain in a closed group, hating everyone in other groups.
This is why they want immigrants to keep their language. This is why the center city I just drove through is plastered with signs in Spanish. If they assimilate, they can’t be kept down, poor and angry at Whitey.
