Some weird 'almost goals' last night on both sides. It was a real gut check for the Caps last night after giving up 2 goals in the last 2 minutes of regulation.

Matt Niskanen cross-checked him in the side of his head.

No such thing happened. Crosby was falling into Niskanen. Niskanen put out his left hand slightly to protect himself, and Crosby probably fell into the butt end of Niskanen's stick. There was no cross-check. There was no high-sticking. There should have been no penalty. It was an accident. The call the refs made was atrocious.

FTR I am a mostly disinterested fan pulling for the Rangers this year, but I've played and ~40 years I was a rather rabid Ranger fan.
