House Bill 1911 passed with a vote of 6-2 in the House Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety, allowing for the carry of handguns without a permit. Often called Constitutional carry, permitless carry is one of the eight priorities outlined by the Republican Party of Texas and is currently legal in fourteen states...
HB 1911 will now move to the Calendars Committee where it will await scheduling for debate on the floor of the Texas House. Text of the legislation along with a record of actions taken can be found at www.capitol.state.tx.us.

Permitless carry bill no. 1911?
Weird coincidence. Like the signs announcing no open carry allowed “30.06”

Texas constitutional carry ping. Can y’all share, please?
HB 1911 Constitutional Carry Passed Committee
My file copy of the ping list image no longer worked. So I winged it.
Thanks for pinging the gang. I would have done so, but I’m on my little tablet.
I’ll find a Texas thread where I can post the ping list image for you to copy. Gotta do that from the desktop.
Thanks for the ping. This is great news.
needs to pass the full house, then, it must also get through the Senate - not sure that can happen in the remaining time this session. Sure hope so, but have doubts.
Good news.
Do not know why The Great State of Texas has a DHS Committee but these politicians can slow drag this stuff anyway they can.
I can see a department but why the hell a committee in our legislature, shiite.
Well something to talk about over #TEXIT
From the article....
As a Joint Author of HB 1911, I am proud of the work that is being done to defend the 2nd Amendment Rights of Texans. With the advancement of this legislation, Texans are closer than ever to exercising the freedoms guaranteed to us in our Constitution, said Representative Dade Phelan.

(Thanks for the ping, TF!)
My, oh, my. Happy day. Hope it gets through this session as they’re about ready to go on vacation in three weeks - Monday, May 29.
Gov. Abbott has had the sanctuary city bill on his desk for two days and still hasn’t signed it. Come on, get it signed already.
My pleasure.
OK, thanks.
My pleasure.
Is this is the bill that allows concealed or open carry without a CHL / LTC in Texas ?
But if I want to drive over the state lines for dinner in Texlaradonewmexlahoma I still need to apply for the Texas issued LTC for interstate reciprocity ?
Hope its passed and valid by this September yet will still get and maintain the LTC due interstate travel.
Sanctuary for criminals being fought, Constitutional Carry, NAFTA being renegotiated, Border security being increased every day, deportations of illegals, need for annual vehicle inspections killed ......etcetera.
A good to excellent year thus far IMHO.
Yes, it is moving in the right direction in some ways. Others need some attention too.
State of Texas is still making insane “license fee” increases.
Idiots have just about put me out of the the certified wheat seed business with that crap. (Bureaucrap)
Numbers simply will no longer work. Pay $33/bushel for foundation seed, $2.50/bushel price at elevator. All the inspection fees doubled or tripled. Annual weights and measure inspection on our ancient but accurate mechanical bobtail truck scale went from $165 year before last, to $400 last years. (we passed, had crop failure sold no certified seed)
Long and shot. ALL Bureaucraps are totally insane.
Thanks for the ping.
Thanks!
We raise wheat. Held over our crop from last year due to crap prices. With all the snow and stuff in the midwest wheat went down yesterday 18 cents. It won’t be until a week or two to understand the damage so what is the real market factor? Traders manipulation? Wheat is a rotation to cotton in this area or sown for grazing. It is bad this year and some farmers are baling and some are killing early to take it out. Yet prices are crap.
