Unwed pregnancy and single motherhood drive many other problems, such as child poverty, and boys and young men joining youth gangs, and getting into trouble.
Yet this problem is barely ever talked about by political leaders, office holders, candidates for office. Our social policies actually seem to encourage this, yet we aren’t allowed to talk about it, due to political correctness.
Remember how Dan Quayle was crucified for mentioning this, in the context of a TV show with a single mother????
The reaction was such that, politicos are afraid to touch this subject with a 10 foot pole.
So we can’t discuss it, can’t adjust our governmental and social problems to try to deal with it, yet the problems just get worse and worse.
