TUCSON, Ariz. - Border Patrol agents in the Tucson Sector made an immigration stop on a suspicious vehicle near Elgin, which led to a pursuit and the discovery of over 2,000 pounds of marijuana worth over $1 million.
As the agents attempted to stop the pickup truck on Lower Elgin Road, northeast of State Route 83, officials say the suspect vehicle sped up.

They got medical care for minor injuries after they sped off with 2,000 pounds of marijuana in an overloaded van! We the taxpayers pay these medical bills? Something is very wrong here. Most sane folks would not put that load in and such van.

Isn’t that around $31/ounce? That’s dirt weed cheap compared to $200/ounce (potent weed is much higher) street price, even if the dirt weed has to have something added.

Not very legal in AZ quite yet. Otherwise the Mexicans wouldn't be trying to import it...But the key point was that illegal immigrants were caught.
I imagine some seeds are more expensive than others. As I understand it there are different strains of marijuana that have been developed with (supposedly) different effects and potency. I don’t know what makes them different; genetics maybe?

Genetics and cultivation, like anything else. Ratios between THC and CBD are foremost. Even during periods of national prohibition, breeders were doing their thing. Marijuana strains rival roses, orchids , or anything else folks are of a mind to breed selectively. Variations of color, branching habit, and light periodicity can be affected.
