'China must be prepared to TOPPLE Kim Jong-un or WE'LL do it', former US chief claims

CHINA must be prepared to destabilise North Korea and unseat Kim Jong-un – or face the consequences of American intervention, a former US foreign policy chief has claimed.

Condoleezza Rice, who served as Secretary of State during George W. Bush’s administration, claimed China were too concerned about causing the “collapse” of dictator Kim Jong-un.

Ms Rice claimed Beijing must be prepared for “instability on their border” as the US will intervene if the People's Republic of China do not.

She added that “in order to deal with” the warmongering North’s strides towards a nuclear missile capable of striking the US “you have to change the Chinese calculus”.

Ms Rice said: “I think that's what the administration's trying to do.

Really. She pretty much single-handedly screwed up N. Korean policy going against strong objections from others. She was not a bit player whose voice was drowned out by others.

She may look better in comparison, but she also screwed up badly.

All of them should stay out of N. Korea debate, let alone demanding that somebody else fix the problem they created by military action. It seems so unseemly. The only thing worse is to push their failed appeasement policy again. Actually, there are Foggy Bottom creatures from Clinton/Bush era doing just that. Amazing how shameless they are.

I agree with Condi that as NK presents a direct threat to US national security regime change not limiting the NK missile program should be our only goal with NK.

“claimed China were too concerned”

“if the People’s Republic of China do not.”

All these grammar mistakes! The publisher of this article needs to hire a proofreader! I’m unemployed; how do I apply for the job?

If China is worried that North Koreans will rush into China, WTF don’t they build a damn Wall?

North Koreans ARE rushing into China, as refugees. With the DMZ so heavily fortified, it’s only place they can escape to.

So why doesn't China build a damn Wall?

Rice must be bored. She’s angling for a position in the Trump Admin.

She's promoting her new book "Democracy".

***. Offer him $100M and citizenship in a nice country and he’ll go.***

You want us to pay that evil SOB for torturing, murdering, and starving his people? Have you lost your mind?

Send some Seals in there to kill that piece of shit and then string him up like Mussolini and let the North Koreans at him. You don’t reward evil, you end it!

Pretty sure at least one SEAL would have to die to get Kim. I’d rather just give him $100M and a house in Tahiti.

That is a nice sentiment, Condi, but it would have been even better if you and GW, or Kerry and Obama, had taken care of the problem before it got to this state of affairs.

When President Trump says he inherited a “mess,” he isn’t kidding.

We don’t need military force to get rid of Kim. Offer him $100M and citizenship in a nice country and he’ll go. Offer his generals the money and they will make him go. Offer each NK soldier who surrenders a tuna melt and no one needs to get hurt. NK is a paper tiger, just blow on it and its over.

To borrow from your screen name :), best idea ever!! Probably even cheaper than military action, and no one has to die.

I agree. I don't think that POS is worth one drop of precious American blood.

And as I said earlier, it would probably be cheaper than any military action.

We would have to do it carefully, though; we don't want another power vacuum that could leave things even worse.

Invading Iraq was one of the classic strategic blunders of all time.

I have begun to think so, too.

Btw, love your screen name. :)

I may be wrong, but when President Trump spoke a few days ago, I am pretty sure it was a portrait of President Andrew Jackson on the wall behind him. Nice touch, Mr. President!

Thanks but no thanks to Condoleeza Rice and her reprehensible behavior as Secretary of State in the waning two years of the Bush Administration who along with her running dog wonder boy Christopher (Jong) Hill, succeeded in negotiating us right smack into a pile of dogshit on North Korea through the failed Six Party Talks. Indeed, if anyone bears very strong responsibility for kicking this can down the road for others (and Obama made it even worse), and accepting all kinds of meaningless concessions by the DPRK while they moved despite the fact quite ahead to threaten us more, then it has to be Secretary Rice. Many of us here will not soon forget it. She set the tone. She set the policy. She led the President along in that charade, following the midterm defeat of 2006 which intimidated him and weakened his resolve. It is something massive, serious and now as has been noted rightly here on FR, poor President Trump has to clean it up.

She has shown extremely poor judgement and audacity, real shameless nerve, and to come out now like this suddenly in the MSM and open her yap about what the new Administration should do about Pyongyang after her own despicable track record of diplomatic incompetence, is highly disingenuous.

One will also recall it was Rice who said, and I quote, "Islam is the religion of love and peace" in the aftermath of the attacks on the US and peddling the mistaken appeasement line of her boss, George Bush. Please. Into retirement and off the stage. Let the adults take over.
