You are right. I had a small stroke (not a TIA). Even though the stroke was small it left me with simple partial seizures. Since no one can see them and I am usually the only one that know people don't understand how much they affect me. Since they are simple partials they took 3 years to DX. By then a lot of damage was done. I have forgotten how to spell 3 and 4 letter words. Sometimes I can't even remember how to spell my legal name.

I have been seeing the same neuro ever since my PCP thought there was something neurological going on. Last time I saw her I told how I have forgotten how to spell. Even she didn't know until that point just how bad things really are.

Mr. Inspectorette had a hemorrhagic stroke four years ago. Two weeks in ICU, four weeks in TRACU, then six weeks in rehab.

Even though he has made an amazing recovery, he will never be the same. No motor difficulties, but the personality changes are sometimes difficult for him, and for me as I try to understand how much he has changed.
