And making the pick-up frame aluminum. I know a body shop owner, long a Ford truck man, who said that was a huge mistake. He recently opted for a GM over a Ford because of it.
The bed is aluminum alloy. The frame is steel.

It’s the body, not the frame that’s aluminum.
And despite all of GM’s advertising to the contrary, they’re supposed to have *their* truck converted to aluminum body by next year or the year after.

Despite the voices of skeptics (usually old-timers), Ford F150 sales are up over 7% YTD compared with a year ago, while the Silverado/Sierra sales are down around 6%. Rams are are also up 6%, but at the expense of the GM products.

Everyone I know that had an F150 had those go bad and damage the engine (myself included). Ford said, and I quote “So, sue us”.
I won’t buy a Ford again. Honestly, I am done with Domestic vehicles.
Not just the frame but the body panels too.
