IF Tom Coburn would but read the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution he would find that they already do limit federal power.
Why is that I can never find a Con Con Conner that can answer one very simple question, “Exactly what is you want to change and why?”
99% of the arse holes wanting a con con don’t even know we are a Republic and not a democracy.

Why is that I can never find a Con Con Conner that can answer one very simple question, Exactly what is you want to change and why? I've got a few answers:
- Limitations on taxation: imposing a single rate on any income-tax and disallowing exemptions, credits, and write-offs.
Because there's way too much tomfoolery going on with the complexities of our income-tax system. - Limitation on the amount of debt that can be incurred.
Twenty Trillion Dollars. - Limitations on the valuation of money; to wit, elimination of fiat money in favor of a physical currency. (ie gold or solver standard)
Having the tinder of the country in a physical medium prevents the absurd amounts of debt-creation we have currently. (Even if we took every single Federal Reserve Note ever made and tried to pay off the debt, we'd fall far, far short.) - Repeal of the 17th Amendment
The Senate should represent the states-as-entities, not be Super Representatives. - Repudiation of Wickard v. Filburn.
The interstate commerce clause
is literally part of the same clause regarding commerce with foreign nations, so asserting that powers regulating interstate commerce applies to commerce within the state is to assert that the international commerce can regulate the commerce inside that foreign nation: this would be, at best, laughed to scorn internationally... at worst a declaration of war or subjugation of a conquered state.
