Unsayable Truths about a Failing High School
National Review ^ | May 23, 2017 | Kay Hymowitz

Earlier in the month, my high-school alma mater in the prosperous Montgomery County suburbs of Philadelphia went viral. A video of a student brawl injuring four security officers and eight teachers appeared on YouTube, bolstering long-whispered rumors of the district’s decline. Four students were taken into custody; one of them, 18 and charged as an adult for four counts of aggravated assault, is still in jail as I write. All four of the students were black females.

“With Section 8 housing vouchers inner ring suburbs have become ghettoized.”

It’s true - particularly if you look at the Minneapolis-St Paul area.

Combine Section 8 with open enrollment (IOW, no district lines are enforced) at area schools and the garbage eventually moves in.

One-time great first-ring suburbs like Richfield, Hopkins and Roseville are slowly turning into pits and the schools are marching in lock-step with it.

My high school now looks like a suburban version of an inner-city school. Some of the stories I’ve heard in the last 10 years have been, well...they’ve been bad. If I had a kid in high school now, there’s no way I’d let them go to my alma mater.

What could not be said out loud was that the problem kids were all black

The truth that dare not speak its name.

The single biggest factor in a failing school is a large population of bad students. It’s really that simple, though nobody likes to say this in public.

Blacks create the mayhem in their neighborhood. If they didn’t like it they would change it.

What’s happening here in Pittsburgh is that some formerly high-crime inner-city neighborhoods (East Liberty, Lawrenceville) are rapidly gentrifying, which is pricing out the riff-raff. The rats then scatter to nearby inner-ring suburbs like Penn Hills, Swissvale and Sharpsburg.

Democrats have turned our government into a factory that pays people to feed, breed and vote Democrat.
They keep the zombies (of all colors) loyal by keeping them perpetually poor, angry and stupid.
That FACT is one of the factors that has led to the decline of our country.

“I moved heaven and earth to make sure my child had a chance”

This parent unwittingly reveals she expects everyone else to take up for her slack parenting.

Feral animals are undeserving of a chance. And to this day I will never understand why the violent are given dozens of chances to stay in school. Expulsion should take place until order returns. If feral animals want to be violent on the street after being expelled they can have a nice ride to jail.

I agree. The badly behaved children should be booted out. When/if they mature a bit and decide the school of hard knocks is too hard, there are alternative ways to go back to school and get a GED these days. My nephew was expelled and took his GED instead. It was much better than keeping him in a classroom, for all concerned.

And then when cops go to quell the violence of black on black crime, race pimps like jesse jackson and al pimpton cry "police brutality" and send out donation mailers. Or, other blacks shoot the cops.

Then the blacks start whining that cops never come to their side of town.

“Now this lovely suburb with once-envied schools is facing black as well as white flight. Let’s see how the Education Department’s Civil Rights Division deals with that.”

They’ll ignore it, and look for the next thing that they can exploit.
