Police in the capital have “thought through every scenario” as they prepare to keep visitors safe during Protestant Reformation celebrations, which include a visit by Barack Obama.

Around 140,000 visitors are expected in Berlin for the Church Congress marking 500 years since the start of the Protestant Reformation, which kicks off on Wednesday evening and lasts until Sunday.

Former US President Obama will be the star guest in the proceedings, discussing “engaged democracy” with Chancellor Angela Merkel in front of a crowd of 80,000 at the Brandenburg Gate on Thursday.

“Unfortunately, the terror threat has been constantly high for a long time, so we’ve thought through every possible scenario,” police spokesman Thomas Neuendorf told Die Welt. …

FALSANI: What do you believe?

OBAMA: I am a Christian.

So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the Christian faith.

On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences.

I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10.

My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim.

And I’d say, probably, intellectually I’ve drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith.

So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there’s an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived.

On Monday, Big Media will report that some large number of “right-wing” attacks were foiled for their god.

Not Obama. He doesn’t pay for anything. I’m sure it’s a total coincide that the kenyan is making a public appearance in Europe during POTUS’s first trip abroad.

What is it with this former shadow President? It seems OBAMA follows PRESIDENT TRUMP everywhere he goes - Italy, now Germany. He is an ex-President stalker.

Germans are dumber than $hit when it comes to politics. Obama is the cause of the refugee crisis and they don’t see it. He spied on Merkel and they don’t see it. Obama allowed ISIS to grow into a worldwide terror organization and they don’t see it.

Never mind the phrase “engaging democracy”. Does he mean “democracy” as Woodrow Wilson defined it?
The thesis of the state socialist is, that no line can be drawn between private and public affairs which the State may not cross at will; that omnipotence of legislation is the first postulate of all just political theory. Applied in a democratic state, such doctrine sounds radical, but not revolutionary. […] For it is very clear that in fundamental theory, socialism and democracy are almost, if not quite, one and the same. They both rest at bottom upon the absolute right of the community to determine its own destiny and that of its members. Men as communities are supreme over men as individuals. …
That is how “democracy” has been defined throughout history, though. And that is why the USA was set up as a republic. Sadly, “democracy” was pulled in thanks to people like Wilson, Obama et al; and most democracies (or socialist states, per Wilson) like to call themselves “republics” these days too, even the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics having done so infamously.

Police in the capital have “thought through every scenario” as they prepare to keep visitors safe...

Let us hope that quote becomes truth. Imagine the embarrassment if it doesn't?

IMHO, there are literally millions of scenarios. Making a rock hard statement like that is foolish.

And take note of the federal republic (Bundesrepublik), which rules over the area these days. “Federal” is another abused term; nothing is “federal” that is centralized, but you have an empire instead.
