Participation Trophy: Vox Hails Montana Democrat Loss as ‘Great’

HOORAY! We lost!!!

That is becoming the laughable mainstream media theme about many special elections since President Donald Trump's victory last November. We saw this happen in early March when Politico hailed Democrat performances in special elections despite the fact that there was no net change. The latest iteration of celebrating participation trophies, and likely to be repeated by MSM sources,  comes by way of the May 26 edition of Vox in which Matthew Yglesias declared that the loss by the Democrat candidate in the congressional special election was beyond mere good news for the Democrats. In fact the Vox headline acclaimed that Republicans' win in last night's Montana election is great news for Democrats:

I hear DNC head Perez is so happy about the Montana loss, he and all the DNC’ers are doing the Mexican Hat Dance to celebrate.

Ole.

I guess DNC’s Perez is eyeing a campaign technique loved by the voters....body-slamming opponents.

Republican win is great news for Democrats reminds me of this:

Maybe a new campaign strategy for anyone who wants to win is to ridicule and, then, body slam any pesky loser media cretins?

....Republicans’ win in last night’s Montana election is great news for Democrats...

These people have absolutely lost their minds. I haven’t seen the 2/3 of the votes were already in excuse much. But, apparently the 1/3 who had yet to vote approved of the manhandling of the English “journalist” enough to push the winner over the top.
Democrats must really be scratching their heads today trying to understand the throttling they are receiving. Of course, they remain blameless.

Montana continues to be all over the board concerning political party success.

Yes, Trump won Montana, but the Democrat Governor was re-elected at the same time.

I didn’t know that there is a GOP positive election
strategy. I thought the Republican tactic was the old
passive, “STFU and let the Democrats make asses out of themselves with media help” strategy.

Sweet!

Every time one of these special elections come up, the MSM and the Dems (what's the diff?) think they will win, and label it a "bellweather".

When they lose, it suddenly is no longer referred to by them as a bellweather. LOL

According to them,Quist-—— “He’s a banjo-playing folk singer who’s all Montana and castigated his opponent as essentially a plutocratic carpetbagger from New Jersey.”

Since when,for Dems,is being a carpetbagger a bad thing?

Barney Frank and Hillary Clinton come to mind.

In our Special Election runoff coming up Jun 20th, the democratic candidate doesn't even live here in the Georgia 6th Congressional District and was unable to vote for himself in the primary. I don't often demean myself with off-putting language but Jon Ossoff defines the word "douchebag."
