Veteran’s Group Facing Backlash After Turning on Hannity Show
Political Insider ^ | May 25, 2017 | Matt

Fox News’ Sean Hannity has been losing advertisers thanks to a targeted campaign by the far-left Clinton-supporting attack dog Media Matters. Two days ago they published a full list of Hannity’s television advertisers, encouraging their readers to take action and contact those advertisers.

Thus far, the advertisers who’ve dropped out include Cars.com, Casper, Crowne Plaza, Leesa Sleep, Peloton, and Ring.com.

The names of those mentioned above who’ve already dropped advertising on Hannity aren’t exactly big names – but the latest to drop out is turning heads. The odd-one-out on the list of advertisers who’ve dropped out of advertising on Hannity’s show is USAA, a company founded by Army veterans almost 100 years ago that caters their services towards military families.

Bizarrely, they tried to claim that the reason they stopped advertising is because they don’t advertise on opinion shows.

And as you’d expect, ceasing to advertise on someone as pro-military and dedicated to veterans as Hannity isn’t boding well among USAA’s target demographic.

H/T: The Gateway Pundit

The hashtag #BoycottUSAA is exploding on Twitter. Sean Hannity will be returning to his Fox show after an extended weekend thanks to Memorial Day, but will USAA be returning as well?

They can claim that they’re pulling their advertisements because they don’t advertise on opinion shows – but it’s not just the timing in question. Turn on MSNBC and you’ll find USAA advertising there.

I’ve used USAA for nearly 30 years. Their service and quality has been on a steady decline for at least 10 of those years. May be time to look for a better option.

I have noticed on twitter, they are falling by the way side... a lot of people saying they are dropping them...

They are left winged anyway from what I read...I don’t know, but something is going on to have as many people dropping them...

If your for the Military then your for the Military and if your using that to sell something and your not, then your doing false business and false advertising, IMHO...

yes.....USAA has been out-sources several of their products.

USAA appears to have lost their vision as a member-owned cooperative.

“...Cars.com, Casper, Crowne Plaza, Leesa Sleep, Peloton, and Ring.com.”

I listen to SH everyday and have NO idea who these advertisers are. Must be local markets...

I tweeted USAA and told them that I was ineligible for their services, but if I was, I’d be a former customer.

Casper on the other hand was told they lost any opportunity at my imminent mattress buying business. I need one now for my kid and another soon for us.

Considering a mattress in a box option.

This is so typical of companies that lose their base. They get elitist know-it-all management types who have no connection with who and what the company represents. And they do stupid stuff like this, disrespecting core patriotic values of those they used to represent. Once they wreck the brand, their former consumers will very rarely fully trust them again.

I will keep USAA because there is nothing better. I have been a member for over 40 years. However, that didn't prevent me from calling their customer service number. I told them immediately that I was complaining about their decision to politicize their advertising.

The agent I got said "..it was about the 1 millionth call today.." and he wished that they would set up a hot line just for this issue.

I asked if there was any way to contact a corporate "decision maker" because I didn't want to take it out on the agent. He said there wasn't any way to directly connect corporate officers via the service lines. In fact the only way to get to them was snail mail

I included this in my letter to USAA corporate:

"..I think USAA knuckled under to a crowd that has few if any direct business associations with USAA. That was a cowardly reaction rather than a reasoned decision. That makes me worry about the leadership that would either decide that should happen or would allow that to happen..."

"USAA constituents represent the finest and boldest this country has to offer...Your decision to back down under pressure from the left dishonors not only your leadership but the total membership.."

Best Election ever.

Each day, another quasi secret backer of the Deep State and hater of Trump steps on its long and lying tongue.

They can’t control themselves, and they verbally and in plain sight go after Trump or Trump supporters like Hannity.

Bam/Boom! Their overt blatant hatred of Trump and Trump supporters backfires with the 63 million Trump voters!

Then, they feel the burning/scorching backlash economic heat from the 63 million Trump voters.

Too late, they can’t put their evil genie back into their PR bottle feeled with hate for Trump and his supporters.

USAA was an auto insurance cooperative for Army and Air Force Officers. That worked well for years.

Clinton became President and cut the military so there would be fewer new Army and Air Force Officers to become USAA members. USAA panicked. What they should have done was cut staff. What they did was open up the membership and try to be all things to all people. USAA used to never advertise on tv. Now, don’t they even sponsor a football bowl? How does that add value for the members?

Unfortunately, they don’t have the guts to cut staff, so they’ll continue to destroy the company.

And USAA is apparently feeling like a Target and is suffering for it. I hope that Hannity will treat it as Rush treated the bed company that cancelled him when he dissed Sandra Fluke or Flake or whatever. They came crawling back and he kept the door shut.

There is now a hue and cry on going against Hannity. The attack is against his advertisers and this tactic is successful most of the time. In addition by recent reoprts those currently running FOX are against Hannity. The left acts conservatives babble. We are in a war people and right now the issue is in doubt.

I sent an e-mail to USAA several months ago and received a call from “The Executive Offices”.

So, yes, the big boys can receive complaints from sources other than letters.

The fellow who called me was very condescending. I was very surprised because most of their employees are pretty courteous.

Like my Dad used to say,

“I think they’ve gotten too big for their britches.”

USAA is a “veterans group”? LOL

I suppose if officers exploiting veterans by pretending they care about them is being a “veterans group”, then cool, whatever.

I went from USAA to GEICO a long time ago. USAA sent me a backdated cancellation notice when I got creamed by an uninsured driver. They lost rather more than they would have had they just paid the claim. GEICO has been right on top of stuff and acts within a couple of days to settle stuff.

I am in the same position and contacted them via email to which I received a canned reply. Their evident inability to get out in front of this thing is telling...as is the composition of the current Board of Directors. This could conceivably either bring the company down or put them on a path to reform that includes a return to USAA’s original mission and vision. I am proceeding on the basis of what they do over the next several days. If nothing, I will begin to transfer IRA’s, brokerage accounts, and auto/home insurance policies as they expire. Have to keep annuities with them which is a bit scary should they start to financially founder...which they could do given the level of anger I see (and which USAA seems to be ignoring).

Veteran friendly USAA claimed they stop advertising on Fox News Sean Hannity because they don't advertise on "opinion" shows. This was after the company was innuendated with phone calls from liberals calling for Hannity to drop the Seth Rich case. As it turns out USAA only targeted Hannity because he's a conservative. The bank is still advertising on the highly opinionated Rachel Maddow show: NewsBusters ✔ ‎@newsbusters .@USAA pulled ads from veteran-loved Hannity because he's an "opinion show," but they DEFINITELY advertise on leftist opinion show @Maddow. 8:40 AM - 26 May 2017
