President Trump has privately told multiple people, including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, that he plans to leave the Paris agreement on climate change, according to three sources with direct knowledge.

Publicly, Trump's position is that he has not made up his mind and when we asked the White House about these private comments, Director of Strategic Communications Hope Hicks said, "I think his tweet was clear. He will make a decision this week."

This is very good news. Hopefully, the swamp doesn’t get him to change.

This is a sanctioned leak.

Don’t know why but this looks like a leaked press release. Probably a open salvo in the renegotiations that are about to commence.

The fact the Merkle was irate over Trump then the more the better. Poland would make a better ally than Germany.

I thought in a week’s time we’d see four things:
1) Victory in MT. Check.
2) Reversal in 4th Circuit. oops.
3) Naming of new FBI director. I think Tues.
4) Based on even these three, markets soar.

now we get
5) Opt out of Paris? Be still my beating heart.

The best way for Trump to get out of the Paris agreement is to refer it to Congress for an up or down vote with two thirds needed to ratify it like a treaty.

Obama never consulted Congress and unilaterally signed it on behalf of the US. Trump should ditch it.

As with Brexit, the side pulling out does not have to do any of the song and dance of severing the ties one strand at a time. He can simply announce that Wednesday 1 April at 1400 hours we are totally out. There will be a lot of excitement and threats and demands but none of them can do anything to us. It would be a major signal to Iran, too.

First he is, then he isn't. Then he is then he isn't. Now he is........

Lots of anonymous sources need to get together and focus on one story..............

Part of this sanctioned leak is an admission of who doesnt want to pull out of paris...note jared and ivanka..and cohn...despite so many here claiming it isnt true.

If he really does decide to to pull out this leak is smart move...because it says ..they wanted to stay in but I kept my promise.

“Poland would make a better ally than Germany.”

Agreed. Poland makes better sausage than Germany. In addition, Poles were instrumental in collapsing the Soviet Union. And Polish women are hotter than squishy, fat German women.

If Trump was staying in, he would have done it at the G-7 meeting. Instead, the “G-6” had to issue a separate reaffirmation.

As it should.

Trump should just submit the treaty to the senate. And then watch the fur fly.

There is a glaring omission from this leak

Tillerson

We know he is for climate change.

Wishful thinking that cohn gets thrown under the bus by pulling out of paris but tillerson safe because he is not mentioned.
.carbon tax gary has to go.

I think this is just speculation by some journo-head trying to meet a deadline.

A lot of second guessing still going on...it would be a lot simpler for everyone if they just trusted what he said during the campaign and expected that outcome to happen at some point...I think we’ll get the outcome we want on the travel ban since Sessions is going to take it to the SC...we’ll have to wait a few months for that though...

anyway, great week, and just to add two things to your list...

His trip over the last few days has been nothing short of extraordinary in many ways...and, the announcement about Bannon heading up the war room...man, I hope they go on offense hardcore...

with the FBI appointment, I hope we start to see some things turn around and investigations into what and who’s really been abusing our laws...don’t like McCabe being in the #2 spot...thoughts on that?
