The apocalyptic religion of global warming/climate change stumbled upon the best animal mascot nag since Smokey the Bear when someone snapped a photo of a polar bear on an ice floe. Of course, polar bears are great swimmers, so the notion that a poor bear could be stranded on the last piece of ice remaining from the North Pole melt-off is absurd. But the religious frenzy of the Warmists holds such a myth as sacred, so the picture became its icon of compassion for cute furry objects of pity, the victims of the very carbon dioxide upon which its metabolism depends.

Polar bears are better swimmers than Michael Phelps, and that’s saying something.
That ice “floe” was created by the wind blowing over the icy water, not a piece of “polar ice cap.”
But of course, when did the loony left ever left the facts get in the way of their communist agenda?
It was 75F degrees earlier this morning.
It is now 84F degrees.
If this warming trend continues (3 degrees every hour) it could reach 114 by 8pm!
46 here this morning headed for maybe 81 at the peak today. Yeah, me likey.
Egads, it will be unbearable by midnight!

HA! Just last week at a gas station in Belmont AZ I got into it with a pair of freaks asking me for directions. They ask what I did and I told them I work as a timber producer. That resulted in the usual rant about destroying the planet-blah, blah. They mentioned the ice caps and I told them that those ice caps are the same depth as they were in the early 11 century because the natives used to measure how deep the ice was so they knew how deep they had to go to get a hole to ice fish.
The dumb asses swallowed it hook line and sinker.
I never did give them directions to get to the Grand Canyon.
They’re bees OK, they’ll just produce a documentary drama piece on their story piece and run it on the history channel and on the science channel showing no production date and wala it’s proven (accepted science). The sad thing is that the product of today’s public indoctrination system can’t even spell critical thinking and only recognize the direction they are pointed out the door.

The youth of today are deliberately dumb.
I see photos on the internet that are decades off in their dates.
Same with videos on youtube.
If they can’t connect to the recent past, they have no chance of putting history in perspective.
And if you point out their errors, they’ll insist that it doesn’t matter. Ignorance is nothing to be proud of.

When I was a kid, we used to ice fish in the Salt River just outside of Phoenix.
