Let’s look at this rationally. Right now the US is emitting 3 billions tons of CO2 per year. Total emissions worldwide is estimated to be 38 billion tons.

If the US did nothing and everyone who signed on to this reduces their emissions by 20% we are still ahead of the game. Notice how the scientists fail to mention that since 2005 the US has reduced its emissions by 10%.

With the US reducing emissions annually as it is, where did the additional 3 billions tons appear from?
