The Chinese and Indians never intended to abide by this “agreement.” They only hoped we would continue to shackle ourselves. Since the two nations together are going to produce far more “greenhouse gases” than we will fairly soon, let’s hear some wailing and gnashing of teeth over that. Instead, crickets.
And since it was never a treaty ratified by the Senate, it was never legally binding on us in any way. Every rookie diplomat in the world knows the United States cannot be bound by an international agreement unless it is ratified by the Senate.
There was some volcano in the last decade that spewed more particulates into the atmosphere than all of mankind did in the last 100 years.
