This is Waters throwing the Pink Floyd name around (still). I dont think Dave Gilmour was on stage with him.

Waters hasent written and performed Pink Floyd music since The Final Cut. Him and Gilmour pretty much share credit on all the Floyd stuff but Dave was more the front sound with vocals and lead strings, and did I mention that insufferable asshole thing that Roger has going.........

but the tickets are sky high.................

You might consider the cheap seats in the back rows where the cost may be pretty cheap if there are any left, and they'll play loud enough that you won't have any trouble hearing them. Looks like $43.50 if you're talking about Pensacola. Also, check tomorrow. The last few remaining seats may be offered for only $20.00.

Roger Waters is THE biggest no-talent, hypocritical, mentally screwed up guy in the business.

I used to love Pink Floyd til I learned that they’re a bunch of rich-kid “socialists” and began doing NOTHING but whine about politics in their ‘music’...

Roger, that crap gets OLD real fast.

And to think they once had creativity and originality.

Waters probably resents the fact that ‘The Wall’ was a product of producer Bob Ezrin, arranger Michael Kamen and Fred Mandel on keyboards, all Jews. Without ‘The Wall’ he’s just another oldie playing smaller casinos.

Like I said, some call it talent. Some say it’s talent if they sell a lot of CDs. IMO their music sucked. As does Blake Shelton, Myley Cyrus, and everything else played on the radio today.

You know a man by his enemies.

Trump’s drawing all the proper fire from all the usual suspects.

I have no love for Waters, but, didn’t people know what he was like going in? The Wall was always political leftism, and post-Floyd he has made it more and more so, incorporating anti-Reagan and anti-Bush imagery as time goes on.

I share similar views as you.

I’m more likely to give musicians a pass than actors because I absolutely love music. Unfortunately, most musicians are to the left.

It’s much easier to boycott Hollywood because most actors are just shallow morons who create nothing of worth. Like you, I’ve just never been very interested in movies. When I want to see a film, I usually watch TCM. I do adore silent movies.

It is much harder to boycott musicians because of my love for music, which includes Pink Floyd. I LOVE “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” & “Wish You Were Here”.

At the same time, I absolutely despise Roger Waters & everything he stands for. I wouldn’t cross the street to see them in concert because of their insistence of forcing their insane politics on their fans.

Waters is so rabidly Anti-Semitic that one could actually consider him a Nazi. At this point, I believe he is as screwed up as Syd Barrett was. He’s a contemptible slug. Anyway, Gilmore has more talent:)

I agree with your post. It’s very easy to ignore Hollywood because it is boring & has nothing to offer. OTOH, I’m more likely to give musicians somewhat of a pass because of my love for music.

Yeah, I don’t get it. That particular song he is referring too, even though I do think it is a good song, has never been among my personal favorites from Floyd.

I’m listening to this selection right now, one of my all time favorite songs ever, Shine On You Crazy Diamond parts I-IX.

Absolutely magnificent!

I wish I hadn’t got tickets now to Roger here in Sac. I would rather see Brit Floyd or Pink Floyd experience. At least they stick to the Music. UGH I have 5 tickets...

Hah, I am listening to Shine On right now, and Wish You Were Here is one of the first songs I ever tried to learn to sing. Love it!

And yeah, Roger seems to behave as a Nazi would. Dunno why anyone would want to do that.

He is a creative genius when it comes to music though. There are not many people like him in the world.

If I met him, I’d just go ahead and be nice to him. Unlike him, I don’t really want to smack people in the face with my politics straight off, and I’d hope he’d extend me the same courtesy, though I doubt it.

Saw David at the Hollywood Bowl last year. Not a hint of Politics. He just played and mesmerized the crowd.
