The Model 29 S&W should probably have wheels, and be considered a crew served weapon. It's wildly heavy, clumsy, deafening to shoot. They are expensive, too.
Guy I knew had one in .45 Long Colt. It was fun to shoot, sort of like a cherry bomb you could hold and still keep your fingers. Some hunters, who enjoy the stalk, the ability to get within mere yards of a feral hog, will mount a scope on one and bet they can get close enough to make a clean kill.
I carried the Air Force Security Police Model 15 for years when I guarded an Air Guard base as a state civilian. What a relic.
