Europe must make clear to the United States that quitting the Paris climate agreement is not a straightforward process, and that fully leaving the deal will take years, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on Wednesday. "The Americans can't just leave the climate protection agreement. Mr. Trump believes that because he doesn't know the details."
In reality, it would take several years for the U.S. to extricate itself from the obligations that flow from having signed the agreement, the head of the European Union's executive arm added.

The US isn’t “obligated” to follow the treaty. It was never ratified and has no weight in the US.

The U.S.. doesn’t have to follow it, though, but why doesn’t Trump just pull out of he underlying U.N. Climate Agreement? That would get him out cold, wouldn’t it?

Nope. It was never ratified by the Senate, therefore the U.S. was never in it.
Obama made promises he couldn’t keep. As usual.

The U.N. and the E.U. write some pretty interesting language into their agreements. They’re gonna think Trump is obligated.
We don’t. Guess who wins. We do.
To heck with them.

It was never ratified. It has ZERO force of law.

They think they can get a huge “divorce settlement” from Brexit and they think they can get palimony from us. Just a bunch of stinkin’ parasites, like all socialists.

Evidently the head of the European Union's executive arm doesn't understand what it means to be a sovereign nation.

Sorry, any treaty that involves taxpayer money has to be ratified by the Senate. The signature on your document is worthless
To: Java4Jay
If the US doesn’t fulfill their obligations under this agreement, I want to know what the EU, UN, or any other entity thinks they can do about it.
The answer is nothing.
