AN AREA in east London has been locked down after a "disturbance" left several people, including two police officers, injured.
Police found a number of injured people at the scene earlier this evening. They have now been rushed to hospital.
Two police officers were also hurt, although they are not in a serious condition.
Social media users said people had been shot and stabbed.
One person said: “So there's been 3 stabbings and 2 people shot at barking road.”
Another said: “Having to go round a crime scene trying to get home where someone has died (body is covered).What the yell is going on?! #barkingroad”
These comments were not confirmed by police.
Chidi Oti-Obihara, Green Party candidate for East Ham, said in a video taken at the scene: “It’s very painful. It makes everyone here very angry.
“We know that because we don’t have the budget for community policing the police can’t come in and deal with these issues before the point where there’s a tragic death.”
A huge area was put in lockdown as police investigated the scene.
Cordons were erected at Barking Road, Barking Close, Cumberland Road, New Barn Street and Balaam Street.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called on Saturday, 3 June shortly before 17:20 hours to reports of a disturbance in Barking Road, E13.
“Officers attended and found a number of people injured.

It doesn't say terrorism related, but the way the attacks occurred, it seems like it could be.
Witnesses say three people on the ground with their throats slit. Imma gonna go on a ledge and say Muslims. :-)

The brits didn’t learn from the last attack by m*slims. They got another one. Well well. Will they learn this time? Of course not! Will they learn next time? Stop joking!
We are witnesses to the downfall of a once great country. Attacks and murders by m*slims will become more and more frequent. The subhuman savages will demand more and more special privileges. The politicians will bend over and drop their knickers for their new masters. The ordinary folk will be put in prison for complaining.

You refer to the Schengen Agreement, but the UK is not part of that arrangement.
Gunfire in London town? But, but I thought that gun were illegal in the UK? So what happened? The wolves had weapons and the lambs had none. How is that working out for them?
Not even the cops have guns. But now I am thinking that this is going to change the MO of the LEO over there. In fact if this keeps up, they may go the way of Israel and have them carrying machine guns.
