Some of the world’s richest men are in Mehi-Co.
They need to sponge off of their own masters, not U.S.
Isn’t wire transfer like the 2nd or 3rd top source of revenue for Mexico?
And all of those dollars leave our economy and are spent south of the border.
We are told that it is offset by tourist dollars in America.
I doubt that.
Right. And their 'anchor babies' are also citizens of their home country ... the whole family can stay happily togeher back on the 'old sod'.
“Call me crazy, but aren’t food stamps - I dunno - supposed to be for LEGAL immigrants?”
In a perfect world/country... yes. Here, we pay for illegals’ food stamps, education, healthcare, etc. Nice to see these illegals might be taking the first step toward self deportation.
How bout take a drastic step and GTF out of MY country!
People who are not legal residents of the U.S. are not eligible to take part in what is formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
THE AMERICAN CITIZEN..... That is right. The LEGAL American Citizen finally wins one. The anchor baby will either starve or be plucked up and hauled across the border where it should have been born in the first gdamn place.
Now you illegal grass crawling whoring mothers, pick up your anchor and pack it back across the border before it starves. I am sure if you ask nice, a CBP officer will be glad to give you a ride. Try calling ICE
Yep, and no one did a thing but stand by while they looted the treasury. The US has become a sink for the foreign criminals and scum of the planet.
A LEGAL immigrant could very well be an American citizen.
Like Dinesh D'Souza (naturalized U.S. citizen in 1991).
As such, they have the same rights as YOU do. Or are you saying those new American citizens should go back to the country of their birth?
100 years ago, would you have been one of those business owners who put a sign up that said "No Irish need apply"?
I’ll bet 90% of immigrants go on to vote democrat. We don’t need to import any more people. At all.
I agree that the immigration policies are horribly broken. JMHO, It might serve the country well if we put a TOTAL ban on ALL immigration for 5 years while the whole thing gets re-written.
I doubt it will happen though; businesses won't allow it.
You must not cut off my welfare until you first provide me another leg to lay on.
Beatuiful provision.... Effective immediately for the next six months of baby births thru 31 Dwc 17, then they will be shipped home to an airport on a one-way ticket to nation of originiation of mother.
“MORE WINNING!!”
Trump has more than intellectual brains, he has “street brains” up the wazoo!. These people are no match for him.
So what? Go be worthless in YOUR country-not mine!
The workaround is to have an anchor baby. The baby, a US citizen, gets the food stamps. The parents, illegal aliens, get the checks. So illegals can and do get welfare benefits.
That is why getting rid of the anchor baby provision is so important,
======================================================================
Even more important is returning to the original intent of the 14th Amendment and not allowing the courts to bastardize it. The framers and ratifiers of the 14th Amendment never meant for foreigners to come here unlawfully (& therefore not fully subject to our jurisdiction) and have a baby here, granting the baby citizenship.
Senator Jacob Howard clearly spelled out the intent of the 14th Amendment by stating:"Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country."
This understanding was reaffirmed by Senator Edward Cowan, who stated:
"[A foreigner in the United States] has a right to the protection of the laws; but he is not a citizen in the ordinary acceptance of the word..."
The phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" was intended to exclude American-born persons from automatic citizenship whose allegiance to the United States was not complete. With illegal aliens who are unlawfully in the United States, their native country has a claim of allegiance on the child. Thus, the completeness of their allegiance to the United States is impaired, which therefore precludes automatic citizenship.
We must return to original intent and the rule of law. Then, there will be no such thing as an "anchor" baby.
>> Call me crazy, but arent food stamps - I dunno - supposed to be for LEGAL immigrants?
If it were up to me, the answer would be no for legal immigrants, too. When you come to this country as an immigrant, you are supposed to be able to provide for yourself, not get an immediate ticket onto the public dole. Yes, there are probably a few exceptions, but they should be rare.
And while I’m on a rant, I’d like to see another law limiting welfare that goes on for generation after generation. If you had a parent on welfare (more than very briefly) and a grandparent on welfare (more than very briefly) then you don’t get any. Perhaps an exception if you are childless and sterile. It’s time to break the welfare/poverty cycle.
And ditto to getting rid of the anchor baby scam. No more anchor babies. They should NOT be citizens. No one should be a citizen unless their parents are both legal citizens or they go through the appropriate procedures legally (which include a test for English proficiency, proof that they are self-supporting, and proof that they are not carrying any serious diseases.)
Anchor babies. THAT NEEDS TO END. At least HALF of the illegal immigration traffic would stop.
Yup. I know at least one long-term (30+ years) “legal” immigrant, a green-card holder who immigrated from Iran in the 70s, and refuses to become a citizen and thinks the Constitution is stupid and should be thrown out (I nearly slugged him when he said this). He married a US citizen over 25 years ago, she passed away about 5 years ago. He has no plans to leave the US or get citizenship. Seems like there should be a time limit on these quasi-legal types as well. When/if they get the green card, they should be required to become a citizen after 5 or 10 years - otherwise, “bye bye”.
