I realize this comes from Snopes but,
The incident was not a rape, the girl was not murdered, the boys involved were not Syrian, a knife was not used, and no "language barrier" prevented police from investigating or detaining two boys involved.
Snopes is attacking a diferent summary of events. The WND article says "sexual assault" not "rape". It says they are Muslim, with no reference to Syria. The article from WND says nothing about a knife.
Snopes seems as afraid of the actual details (like the five year old girl being developmentally disable) being exposed as the judge is.
The WND article seems to have some on the scene sources or at worst a one-off. Snopes' news is old.
This story can be exagerrated, but WND's coverage was not inaccurate. The Judge's after the fact gag order is prima facie evidence of bad behavior.

Snopes is full of shit like usual. Since when does our culture cover for little raping bastards. Now we get done to “depends on your meaning of rape is”.
