During the Senate Intel hearing Thursday, former FBI director James Comey revealed that during the 2016 election, then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch ordered him to downplay the investigation into Hillary Clinton by calling it a "matter" instead of a criminal investigation and Comey obliged.
Comey mislead the entire country to go along with the Clinton campaign talking points. He's a democrat shill that bowed down to political pressure to protect Hillary Clinton.
Senator Lankford probed Comey saying," And then you made a comment earlier about the Attorney General, previous AG [Lynch] asking you about the investigation on the Clinton emails, saying that you were asked not to call it an 'Investigation' anymore, but to call it a 'Matter.' And you said that confused you. Can you give us additional details on that?"
Comey replied, "Well, it concerned me, because we were at the point where we refused to confirm the existence of an investigation --as we usually do-- for months,. And it was getting to a place where that looked silly, because the campaigns were talking about interacting with the FBI in the course of our work.
The Clinton campaign at the time was using all kinds of euphemisms, 'security review,' 'matter.' Things like that.
For what was going on. We were getting to a place where the Attorney General and I were going to have to testify and talk publicly about it, and I wanted to know if she would authorize us to confirm we had an investigation. And she said yes, but don't call it that, call it a 'Matter.' And I said why would I do that? And [Lynch] said just call it a 'Matter.'
And again, you look back in hindsight, should I have resisted more? I just said this wasn't a hill worth dying on, so I said, okay, the press is going to completely ignore it, and that is what happened. When I said we opened a matter, they all reported the FBI had an investigation open. And that concerned me because the language tracked the way the campaign was talking about the FBI's work, and that is concerning... It gave the impression that the Attorney General was looking to align the way we talked about our work with the way a political campaign was describing the same activity, which was inaccurate. We had a criminal investigation open... And so that gave me a queasy feeling."

That’s called deception....therefore obstruction of Justice....and to it he purposely leaked department classified information to a college friend to give to the media about his conversations with Trump....AND in former hearings lied that he didn’t know of any leaks when he himslef was leaking.......the hand writing is on the wall.
As I said in a Vanity Thread, we need a special prosecutor to investigate Mr. Comey and his misdeeds:
Did he lie to Congress when he said he had not been pressured to end any investigations?
Why did he act without authorization at the end of the Clinton investigation?
Has he leaked classified information either directly or through directing a third party to do so?
Along with this the special prosecutor’s mandate should include all other matters related to any of the above.
So Comey and Lynch conspired to mislead the public by downplaying the Hillary investigation, then Comey later misled the public by failing to inform them that Trump was NOT under investigation.
More important is the realization that the communists far left Democrats are trying to destroy America. Not just President Trump but AMERICA. They have decided a coup and will have to be destroyed.
He went along with Lynch because, and I quote, “that wasn’t the hill worth dying on.” But, his firing by Trump is, apparently.
Comey is a double-dealer who should have been fired on or about January 20, 2017!!!!
The Dims have NOTHING to hang their hats on!!! Trump will NOT be impeached, he will NOT resign, and he will serve at least one full term!!!!
The Dims will lose numerous seats in Congress, Governorships, and State Legislators in 2018.

Agree with everything except the Dems losing seats in 2018. THey won’t. They’ll win seats, hopefully not a majority. They are organized and passionate. And that is all they need. On the flip side. We are not.
The FBI does not investigate "matters." The FBI only investigates possible crimes. In South Louisiana when we fished for crawfish on occasion we would pull up a water moccasin in our nets. They were vile vicious aggressive snakes but I must admit they pretended to be nothing but vile vicious creatures. Comey is that vile water moccasin but pretends to be a good snake. He is not. He is totally compromised by his past with the Clintons. He is the water moccasin. However I have more respect for the snake than Comey. The snake never pretends to be a good guy.
You encapsulated very well what I was thinking when I heard that. He bent over backwards to help Hillary. He is bending over backwards to condemn Trump.
