Hi Richard,

I have been wondering about the real reason for the Russia collusion story since it first broke. Because most of our journalists are younger and were not around during the first Clinton rodeo, they are unaware of how they work. Whenever they are caught in a scandal, they flash another shinny object at the press and, presto, reporters are tripping over themselves to get the scoop with the scoop far away from the crimes they’ve committed. I even believe the Monica storyline, while embarrassing, was better than what Ken Starr was originally investigating — obstruction of justice by suborning perjury.

When Hillary first began to blame Russia for the breech of the DNC and blame Trump for it, the media took the bait. It was even made easier for them by Trump suggesting a closer relationship with Russia and with his campaign chair having close ties to Russian oligarchs. When I first heard it, I thought it was a weird thing to blame Russia for breaking into an email system that was likely more secure than her home-brew server. I thought it drew attention to the fact that Russia could have just as easily hacked into her system. When the reporters started to write about the DNC hack, I imagined a conversation with Putin and his FSB general in which Putin asks if he hacked into Hillary’s email while she was at State and he tells him, “No Vova, but we were able to hack the DNC and learn that Chelsea and Podesta don’t get along and she’s an entitled brat who runs to her daddy whenever challenged.” How do you think that would go over?

The Clinton’s like to blame others for what they are guilty of. Don’t forget that we know about Hillary’s server because of a hack from what has been described as a lone-wolf hacker from Romania sitting in his underwear in his parent’s basement. His name was Guccifer and he’s been described as not working for any state actors. Do they know how silly it sounds that a lone-wolf cracked the secret code of Hillary’s server but Russia, China, Israel, Iran and North Korea didn’t? But nobody is talking about that. They are only talking about Trump’s connections to Russia and how it turned the tide of the election.

Comey’s testimony yesterday demonstrated that Justice was never going to allow an indictment on Hillary. They never impaneled a grand jury, they allowed the destruction of evidence, they permitted targets to participate in Hillary’s non-sworn interview, they gave limited immunity to key suspects, Obama announces Hillary did noting illegal (obstruction of justice if Trump had done this), and now we know there was at least contact between the Hillary campaign and Justice on merging the campaign’s “narrative.”

So the Russians hacking the election story has drowned out any speculation on the Russians hacked Hillary lightly-protected server. We know that the intel sector had to change up entire networks by assuming she was hacked by hostile state actors as that’s been already reported. I have to believe there are those in the community who would speak out that “confidence is high” that her server was hacked. I also believe the NSA knew perfectly well, and therefore so did Justice, that Hillary was communicating in an insecure way — even by using her Blackberry, which they warned her not to use. There is even the likelihood of intercepting her email as Huma sent it back in forth to her home computer that was probably even less secure. This also brings up another part of Comey’s past testimony. He claimed there were 100,000 emails on the Huma/Weiner home computer. But Hillary told us there were 30,000 emails she gave back to State and 30,000 she deleted and used Bleachbit to destroy (whatever happened to the legal notion of inculpatory evidence being destroyed as a sign of guilt and intent?). That’s a total of 60,000 emails. What’s in the other 40,000 emails that ended up at Huma’s home?

The Russia collusion storyline is classic Clinton dodge. They are guilty of collusion themselves, they are guilty of higher crimes of hacking but they are masterful at throwing this at someone else. They have the perfect person to play the role of the villain in Trump, who is never careful and often clumsy, they have a compliant media that lives off leaks that insider friends of theirs in Congress and in the intel community continue to push out, and they pump it up with the “community organizers” to push for impeachment or, at the very least, to block Trump’s agenda (with help from a weak Republican leadership, of course).

Nobody is talking about Hillary’s server any more. Comey has seen to that by exonerating her twice. Is that accurate? Was it all just poor judgement but all okay dokey in the end? All of this has been reported before in bits and pieces. Our security was weakened because she wanted to avoid FOIA and to be able to conduct business to benefit her family foundation. It seems a shame that this has all disappeared down the typical Clinton memory hole.

Thank you for giving us a recap of the origin of this farce.

Too many people, including some of Trump’s defenders, have come to accept the false premise that this intense focus on Russian election tampering is motivated by genuine concern for “our democracy”.

The real motivation (as you so aptly summarized) was originally to distract from the Clintons, then later evolved into a way of attacking Trump, and eventually got legs of its own, because once these types of allegations get made against a Republican....

.....every leftist journalist wants to be the next Woodward or Bernstein, every leftist civil servant wants to agrandize the importance of their job, and every leftist activist wants to spill Republican blood and usher in the next Camelot.

Clinton’s get away with everything and Comey is clearly in the tank for that side.
