I would not put that past her since I do not trust her sincerity and her politically correct sort of stances on terrorism with the old “extremism” on the internet argument trotted out, a refusal to rule out tax increases, a plan to take the homes of people with dementia away from them to pay the expenses of their care etc. etc.
I don’t believe it is within her power to ignore the referendum, otherwise the Queen has the power to dissolve the parliament. She might just slow walk it though.

Is this why T May called this snap election? She had to have a clue that Brexit vote was precarious. It was close and largely due to apathy that was reportedly regretted, by its opposition after the fact.
