It’s called a “tell”. When Comey refers to his feelings, he’s lying.
Exactly right. His feelings are a tell as he is saying what he thinks will evoke sympathy. He’s “confused,” “queasy,” or whatever. Not buying his unwitting participant act. He’s saying what he believes will preserve his posterior.
